Pretty good experience with Scott Whitney in Sales. Nothing I can really complain about in my first experience with this dealership. Scott was easy to deal with and advocated for me on a specific issue that would have surely derailed the deal. I also appreciated Scott getting me some touch up paint for a couple scratches. I searched a several state area for what I was looking for. I got a pretty good deal with some discounts including a markdown because the new car had been used by the dealership. And let's not forget the extra $500 discount for Ford honoring First Responders. The car did have a few thousand miles on it but still has the remainder of the factory warranty. The warranty is going to come in handy. I've already had it in for service on a 'no start' issue. Then today the fuel door wouldn't open with just 13 miles left to empty. It took two mechanics at a different Ford dealership to force the door open so we could fuel it up. Now there's a 21 day wait for the repair to the fuel door lock mechanism. Hopefully that is the extent of any mechanical issues for a while.

Never have I had such a positive experience at a dealership. No pressure or silly sales tactics. Scott my sales reps was knowledgeable, down to earth and not pushy. Randy the owner is also great, he did my paperwork and financing. I asked for a rate comparable to my credit union which they beat. First time buying from out of state and man was it the right move. I just wish they were here in NY but I will definitely drive there again for future purchases. You don't get that kind of hospitality anymore. Thank you!

Bought a 21 edge, have had it about a week. They add a “prep fee” to prep the car and get it ready for sale - scam. I paid half of the $1,000 fee - I have mismatch tires AND some are winter tires; it’s summer. To add, I need brakes and rotors. What happened to the prep???? Dirty on the inside and truck looks awful. I purchased from Michigan and had it shipped. Also, buying from a dealership and it’s not certified??
DONT DO BUSINESS HERE…. Thanks a lot, Scott ☺️

An appointment was made on Monday, the beginning of the week, for a Thursday morning appointment ( which was great since it was rather quick and it was for a recall). The staff on the phone acted friendly enough, so I entrusted them with my vehicle. Thursday morning comes, I start my vehicle without any issues and drive it to the dealership. I get checked in and let them know that my daughter and I will be walking to McDonald’s while we wait. We ate our breakfast and were just about ready to leave and go back to the dealership when the first of two calls came in. The young guy sounded excited and said that he was happy to let me know that my recall work was completed, but now my vehicle won’t start. He asked if I have had any issues with it and I said “no”. He then told me that he was going to check the battery (which I’ve had zero problems with at all). So we ended the call. The next call came in 8 minutes later and he subsequently told me that my battery is junk, corroded, and that he suggested a brand new battery because he left my vehicle ignition in the “on position” while conducting the almost 15 minute recall service. He further stated some numbers at me and again stated that I needed a “new battery”. I told him that I would be there in a couple of minutes and ended the call. When I got there, my vehicle was still in the bay with its hood open. We waited for a couple of minutes while the workers were trying to figure some things out amongst themselves by the service desk. The young guy then proceeded to pick up paperwork, directed me towards my vehicle, and then started pointing out numbers on the battery and paperwork. Amongst his flow of information, I stopped him and asked “did my vehicle start ok for you? Did you have any issues getting it started?”, in which he replied “no”- like he had been caught red handed. He proceeded to point out a little bit of corrosion on the battery terminal (it wasn’t enough to keep it from working), again stated that I needed a new battery, and then walked back over to the service desk. By that point in time I was really frustrated. I looked at him and stated that I’m not buying a new battery, if I was any other customer he would be getting cussed out, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the way my vehicle started prior to taking it there for the recall. He said that he would “help me out by giving it a jump but (in a stern voice and with attitude) THE BATTERY WILL NOT LAST AND I WILL NEED A NEW ONE LONG BEFORE WINTER “. I told him to “get it started”. Another gentleman jumped my vehicle and I thanked him for doing so. I then proceeded to walk out of the service bay, in which he aggressively told me that I needed to sign paperwork. I wrote on the paperwork “destroyed battery “ and signed my name. He didn’t give me a copy of the paperwork even though I asked for it, and he stated that he needed to finish it up and then I could have a copy. My vehicle was backed out of the bay, I got in, and proceeded back home. When I got home I shut my vehicle completely off and then restarted it. It started WITHOUT hesitation just like before the service. I went there for a “free” service, but before I could get my vehicle out of there was told that I “needed” something that would be an out of pocket expense. I’m obviously a woman, but know some things about mechanical work, and feel as if I was stigmatized and discriminated against because of my gender. People beware of the service department here trying to make a quick buck. I will knowingly admit that my vehicle is due for new tires (and that’s obvious), but nothing was said about that as a common courtesy and potential sale. If that would’ve been done then this review would be totally different because I would know that they genuinely care about my safety and that they aren’t just trying to bully someone into making a quick, expensive decision.

My husband purchased a truck from them. Very good price and they worked with us and have been very nice to work with. We decided to try them out as we have went with our local dealership for years but they didnt have what we wanted, so we came to Shirkey and so far, everything is great.

This dealership is top notch! Tanner and Brad were such a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them if you are in the market for a car. I traveled from GA for this purchase.

Avoid buying from this dealership. Bad business and disappointing to the fullest extent. We bought a new Ford Explorer and discovered within 24 hours that there was an attempt to cover up a bumper issue. The paint was chipping off, necessitating a full bumper replacement. The owner declined to cover the full cost, offering only a partial amount. This was clearly not our fault. They sold us a vehicle with a visible issue and refused to fully address it. We have paid $2,200 to fix a car that supposedly had no issues and was new. We tried to exchange the car and the dealership would not agree. Also, when looking at the reviews, notice they only respond to the positive ones.

I was looking for a specific truck configuration for our business and this dealership had one. I was so fortunate that Deiter was my salesman, He got me all the information I needed, did a little research for me to make sure it was exactly what I needed, made the process effortless and was just a fun professional person to deal with. If you are looking for a Ford call Deiter.

Great honest salesperson. Arranged for the truck I was looking at to be taken to a third party inspection prior to sale. I didn't end up buying the vehicle based on the inspection but he was so understanding and there was no pressure. I would definitely recommend looking here for a vehicle.
