The Goodyear Airship Operations hangar is an aviation enthusiasts must see location. The area is historic and fully operational.There is a public viewing area but it's only open during the day.

There's a public viewing parking lot to watch blimp activities. It's behind a locked gate so it may only be open when the blimp is active.

This is an amazing facility with a fascinating history. The building is huge and a sense of scale is difficult to gauge when inside. Airship Operations is a very professional, organized facility with a very knowledgeable and experienced staff. This place is worth the drive past, and you might even get a chance to see the airship. The Goodyear Airship is a part of Akron's history, and lots of that history starts in this facility!
