They don't seem like nice people solely based off of how they answer the phone. Just rubs me the wrong way. I wouldn't want them working on my vehicle. Wish I could rate no stars.:After reading their response:There wasn't a single bit of time during the phone call that I asked if you could do an oil change today, I simply asked how much do you guys charge for oil changes and your response was as follows "we don't do that kind of work" I fully understand it being a holiday that's why I didn't expect you guys to answer the phone. Just the way that you were snappy with your responses or whoever was on the phone I mean no disrespect at all in any manner but it just rubbed me the wrong way so my review was simply me just being honest. I never said that you guys are bad mechanics because I don't have any proof of that all I said was based off of the phone call how you guys made me feel that was all. And if this is one of the higher-ups responding to my review I fully respect your responding but the customer service of your employees should be looked at a little bit further.

Didn’t get work done but the guy on the phone is very rude, the one star rating is definitely deserved

Car was not fixed probably/completely.. 2000.00 dollars to have something break that was supposed to be fixed, wires dangling... Not recommending to my worst enemy.

I had the need for a leak in my RV. I called Southwest Companies or whatever their company name as they seem to have many. There was no mention as to what their service call was until the technician came. His first words were their service charge was $275. I stopped him and said I think we need to stop right there as I felt the charge was outrageous. He informed me that I would still have to pay that and just parts and labor. He then asked for my drivers license, credit card and registration to my RV. He went back to his truck and filled out a boat load of paperwork then said sign here, here and here. No mention of labor charge, no mention of $3.00 per mile charge. He started my project and took several phone calls while on my project. He also video taped our entire conversation. My gut feeling was to stop him but I had never encountered this before. He got the actual job done in about 15 minutes. He then returned to his truck to do more paperwork. I waited for a long time then told him I needed to leave. He finally came out with the bill. He had to replace a 4 foot pex line. Pex line runs about .05 per foot. So now the final bill. He charged $987.67 to replace a 4 ft pex line. Then I received the actual breakdown of his ridiculous charges. 275 for service call, $360 for mileage, $175 for 1 hour of labor that only took 15 minutes plus $50 for the pex line. I came unglued and he took off the mileage charge. $584 for a .20 part. These people go under 20 plus different names so cant be trusted. Do not call these crooks.

These people took us to the cleaners. They were recommended for RV refrigerator repair and $1500 later the refrigerator still doesn't work. They charged $175/hour for labor, $275 flat rate for a service call and $3.00/mile. Be forewarned, that they will not do anything until they have your credit card information. The biggest frustration was the labor rate. The technician, Rob, milked it for everything he could. He took many phone calls that took a significant amount of time and spent an excessive amount of time processing paperwork before and after addressing the refrigerator all while charging us for the time. Also, the $3.00/mile fee seems excessive. Let me say this again. $1500 for a service that didn't remedy the problem. I could have bought a new one for that.

This is a good shop! I've had two of my vehicles there now, and both times, they did a great job, took care of what I needed done, it cost what they said it would cost, which was reasonable both times, and seem to have done very good work. I do a lot of work on my cars myself and for whatever reason I've had a hard time finding a shop to do what I can't do or don't feel like doing. But Southwest was great. No hassle, no drama. Just competent work done quickly and for a fair price. What a relief! Very thankful to have found them, and I feel comfortable recommending them.

Honestly few shops that actually care about people. Only been here once. But I've recommended several permanent customers for life

Bob and the people at southwest automotive are probably the most honest and genuine auto repair shop I have ever been to! I never take the time to write a review for anything much less a car repair. Even now I am laughing that I am writing my first review about auto service! On that note, I highly recommend this place, they do not try and up-charge with needless services but they take a seriously honest approach toward repairs. Thank you SWA. Littleton Native!

Long overdue review! I came in here about a year ago for a brake issue. My stepdad was so kind to help put new brakes on my Jeep while I was in my hometown visiting. I noticed when I was back in Austin that there was a creaky/crunchy noise with my brakes. I stumbled upon southwest automotive and had them check out the issue. Apparently they just had to do a little adjusting to fix the problem so they only charged me their shop minimum for the fix! I love the honesty and kindness from this place and will definitely be back the next time I have any car troubles!

Southwest Automotive helped me out when I was in a jam with an apparent electrical issue. They were great about calling me to understand what was going wrong with my Subaru, and arranged to have me seen first thing in the morning. I appreciated the communication, including price for the likely fix. They were also kind enough to valet my car in as I was not going to be able to drive it in - thank you! Very nice people and I appreciated the explanation of service.

I've been taking 4 different cars to Southwest over the past several years after moving. I tried a few garages in the area, which is one of the worst parts about moving, but Bob has taken great care of me and my vehicles. I trust what they tell me and they have given me advice that might cost them a couple hundred bucks because I can do it myself. I've needed warning light checks, and they'll help quickly without any expectation. Their quick work and over the top excellent customer service will keep me coming back for years.

This is the mechanic shop you've been looking for. The honest ones who won't rip off your grandma.I walked in the door for the first time having self-diagnosed my problem and arrived at an expected repair bill of $500. They knew this and had ample opportunity to take advantage of my mechanical ignorance. Instead, the did the right thing, only fixed what needed fixing, and got me out the door later that day for $110. I felt like skipping.Absolutely top notch. There might be others as good, but none can be better.

I'm writing this because I wish I read such a warning from other Yelpers. I brought my car in for a battery issue, which they were able to fix quickly. However, I was told that there were other "high priority repairs" that I shouldn't put off totaling $2,600. The funny thing is when I brought my car to a trusted family mechanic a few hours away, they were able to fix the power steering and engine oil parts without replacing any parts! Suspicious because the folks at SW Automotive kept trying to convince me that replacing those parts was necessary. My car is driving fine now, no more leaks. I can't say whether SW Automotive's initial price was completely exaggerated or not, but getting my car looked at by someone who is not solely profit-driven makes me think twice about bringing my car in to random shops unless it is absolutely necessary. Especially as a young woman who needs to bring in her car alone. Take this review how you will, but *always* be careful.
