I went in with several older military uniforms, an airgun and a US military machete in an original green US sleeve. The owner low balled me with a low price of $30. I should have searched the items before I went in, but I didn’t. I trusted the owner to be fair in sharing the market value and then making a fair offer. But he didn’t. I should have tried Military Surplus also in Milford, who has great reviews, but I didn’t. Call it sellers remorse, but I trusted that the seller would be fair, but he wasn’t. After returning from selling him my items and searched the value of the items I sold and I found out they were worth hundreds of dollars. I will NEVER go there again!

Bill was so knowledgable, pleasant on the phone and in person. He knows his inventory and was so helpful in purchasing my items.

Talked to him yesterday about items he stated he had, asked for price, wouldn't discuss prices over the phone, which made absolutely no sense, but ok, said he had some other items I was looking for, told him I would come in, drove there quite away out of my way, at almost 4.00 a gallon, to see the one items overpriced, and when asked about the other items he claimed he indeed had, he told me I dont know where they are, didn't even try to look, what a waste of time and money, will never step foot in there again! Told my buddy what he did, and he did him the same way the day before! Do not waste your time!

Every neg review sounds like my experiences here.Don't waste your time as all you'll find is price gouging on the items he wants to sell OR he will tell you he needs to call hos son to get a price on something... Seriously?Go across the street to Old Milford Gun Shop and deal with Ron....

Found the individual working in the shop to be terse and unwelcoming. Prices are insane (not in a good way) overall a very unsatisfactory visit.

Great man, knowledgeable with good prices and large stock. He knows his stuff.I’ve been going to the shop since I was a boy, and he’s always been both kind and knowledgeable, with a breathtaking stock of historical and military items and artifacts. Always prices fairly and always has impressive memorabilia.

Mr Switzer is very knowledgeable. His shop has older and newer military surplus. The amount of war memorabilia is enough to constitute a small museum.

The owner of this place must be doing this as strange hobbie as he tries to give you peanuts on items yet acts like all his stuff is gold. I watched him give a man 60 bucks for a Beretta, and tell another man his WW2 stuff was all fake yet then try and buy it for $20.00. Stay far away from this store. Every negative thing I read sounds true based on my personal experience. Trust nothing he has to say..

Stopped in there with my teenage children. The owner was more than happy to tell us all about the collection he had. He answered all of the questions my son, who is into the older military history, had to ask. Yes, the items were quite pricy but what do you expect for original period pieces?

Small cluttered shop and owner is dismissive and forget trying to buy anything he doesn’t want to sell anything!My brother bought a $6500 rifle and paid upfront and was given a receipt after money was counted by both parties and verified the amount. My brother Made the trip there the next day to pick it up and owner said there was $740 discrepancy in the money! As if both of them counted the money several times and missed over $700!The owner then said he would give him the $6500 back and keep the rifle. Obviously there was no $740 missing. He just changed his mind and wanted to keep it wasting my brothers time and not being a man of his word. If you change your mind at least be honest about it don’t try to lie to get more money for your gun!
