This little library is a treasure! They have a wonderful book club and all of the latest mysteries available. They specialize in mystery books and were recently given the distinction of being named to the National Register of Historic Sites in Milford.

I LOVE The Milford Public Library and give it 5 stars!!! It is is a wonderful historic building, it’s small but cozy and is wall to wall mysteries!!! They always have current selections and plenty of oldies to choose from. I have always had good conversations with the friendly volunteers. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until 2 years ago but I am making up for lost time!

I went to Milfors to see it's sites. The library was the only negative review. The library had a book sale begining. I asked to use the restroom. They said employees only for a public owned place, (5 employees were working). Women were rude, and did not care if we bought anything. Seems they were selling books for a book sale yet no signs nor did 4 of the 5 even get up to see if we needed help. How is a public place off limits unless you work around or nearby? Yes, told they share with those work around there. Why be rude and not have people support a local PUBLIC library. When i stated i was reviewing this and showed them. The lady taunted me with I am praying for you because you posted that. Really?

From my memory: This library is the oldest in Clermont County, but doesn't get any funding from taxpayers so they rely on fundraisers and volunteers. Expenses for the building are costly, including for plumbing. They specialize in mystery books, and they often have the newest mystery books before the large publicly funded libraries. They are open limited hours because volunteers are scarce, I believe, so check hours before coming here.

How can you not love a small community, public library that is solely focused on Mystery books and authors? The two women working there when my family and I visited the last time were funny and intelligent. We enjoyed talking with them and hearing about the history of the library. The building itself is one of the original buildings in Milford, and I enjoyed venturing on to Water Street, aptly named, since it's right next to the Little Miami River in Old Milford. You won't be disappointed if you stop by here- especially if you are a mystery writer! TIPS- The staff was quick to point out to me that even though the overdue fines are 10 cents per day, it's only 30 cents per week since they are only open three days! Oh yeah- they are only open three days a week, so check the hours before making a special trip!

"Do you love a good secret or mystery? Then visit the Milford Mystery Library - one of the best kept secrets in Milford, OH" This is a small library in an old stone building built by the Kugler family, of Kugler Mill fame. It has a selection of mystery novels much larger than most libraries - separated by genres. Worth a visit if you're a mystery or history fan. The library also welcomes small groups to use the space for gatherings - with advance notice of course! Hours are now: 10am-4pm Wed. & Sat., and 2pm-7pm on Thurs.
