I absolutely love DHS! I live an hour away from here but it is more than worth the commute to ride phenomenally trained horses in the company of lovely people. Lana and Audra are fantastic instructors specializing in fox hunting and I’m getting all the skills I need to hunt from my DHS family! Couldn’t recommend DHS more!!

Lana is wonderful and very knowledgeable. She chooses great trails for trail rides. My kids have also enjoyed the lessons they have taken at Durkee Hill Stables! Highly recommend.

We absolutely love this barn and everything about it. The owner, trainers and riders all share the same positive values and together with their knowledge and love for the sport have taught my daughter so much in the 9 months that we have been there. It is clean and well cared for. No matter what level you are at as a rider, I promise you will not be disappointed. The barn is quiet, calm and beautiful. Lana loves and respects what she does and it shows. The horses and people at Durkee Hill are all so happy!

Absolutely love learning hunter/jumpers and fox hunting at DHS!! The horses and people are fantastic especially the instructors Lana and Audra!! They also do trail rides for experienced riders in the local parks around town and travel to various fox hunts throughout the region and into the south in the winter as well. Highly recommend for lessons, adventures, boarding etc!

Lana Volk has taken our preteen daughter from cross rails to adulthood in Beginner Novice and Jumpers. Her coaching isn’t just “for the season” but for lifetime skills as a rider, competitor, and horseperson. “It takes a village,“ and we are fortunate to have Lana Volk and Durkee Hill Stables in the village.

I was looking for a welcoming, respectable and fun stable to ride at, and that is exactly what I found at Durkee! Lana is a very experienced and sweet woman who cares about what she does. At Durkee Hill you can do everything from an in-depth, educational lesson, to a jumpers show, to a trail ride (she requires a few lessons beforehand), to a dressage show to a fox hunt! A great bunch of people here and very spoiled loving horses here! I'll keep riding here for a long time!

She was very rude to me onthe phone. She only gives trail rides to her clients. She won't give any trail rides to people off the street. I'm gainfully employed and successful. This is she calls street person. My advice I would go somewhere else to horseback ride!!

Best horse farm in NE Ohio! We have so much fun fox hunting, horse showing and trail riding. If you don't have a horse you can use one of the DHS horses. Everyone at the farm is so nice and likes to have fun.
