So, I NEVER leave a review that falls less than 4 stars, but this place has earned my time and attention.Basically, I just left this place after being confronted by the “owner” who was fertilizing their grass. I had recently purchased a beautiful (and incredibly fast) AMG and therefore I wanted a nice backdrop for some photos. I found this place and pulled up to the edge of the parking lot (mind you, I was NOT on the grass and honestly was about 15’ from the edge of the parking lot) and began shooting some photos. Mind you, it is Saturday and they are CLOSED with nobody even in the parking lot with the exception of said “owner”. Within 3 minutes, she proceeded to head my way and ask why I was trespassing. Surprised considering there was only ONE other car in the desolate parking lot, which belonged to the self-elected “trespass czar”, I explained politely that I was just taking photos and would be done in a minute or two. Mind you, I had only been there for 3-4 minutes, and she again “reminded” me that I was trespassing followed by her standing there staring at me the entire time till I left after less than 10 minutes. Quite frankly, I was only looking to snap 10-15 photos from different angles and would have been gone much sooner had she not been so rude. Being the professional I am, I refused to engage and simply asked if she owned the place, to which she claimed that she did. I followed by, I’ll be leaving shortly and then decided to take my time rather than be intimidated by a 70 year old woman who probably couldn’t see over the steering wheel on her way into this alleged business.Needless to say, if this is how you treat folks, I’ll gladly remain with my current financial advisor and accountant firm, who by the way, has full oversight into my rather large business that they only WISH I would bring to their terrible location.Keep in mind, I am driving around in a German import, dressed appropriately, setting up in the corner of a desolate parking lot, and minding my own business while photographing a clearly brand new car… so do I look like I am honestly up to no good and breaking into your dilapidated facility… absolutely NOT. So why interrogate me as though I am a criminal. In this day and age, I wish I had been anything but Caucasian… because I would have made a MUCH bigger deal out of her neglect for humanity. Can’t wait for the alleged “owner” to read this too, because you will absolutely remember me since I will not be intimidated by your inability to treat people with respect.Beware, they are RUDE and ignorant to folks simply minding their own business. For those actually considering this place, imagine the treatment you will receive here and find another place. Hell, even H&R Block treats people better!

Excellent and competent accountants. Specifically I'm referring to Cheryl S. ( not sure she'd want her full name listed). She has been doing my taxes for years and i gave total confidence in her. Highly recommend.

This review is only for their notary services, not taxes or other finances. My almost 80-yo mother went there twice recently to have a document notarized, and she said they did that for free and were very nice. Now we need a financial POA and so I called to ask about that. The receptionist or office manager confirmed there's no charge to notarize a pre-printed document. I then asked if they have the right POA form already and she transferred me to Matt (I think that was his name), who is an elder law attorney there. He explained on the phone that the basic State of Ohio financial POA form only covers the basics covered under state law, and that other states might have slightly different POA coverage. He said that Brookside offers a more detailed POA form that covers more of the bases for elderly finances such as estate trusts and nursing home decisions. Matt said they charge $200 for that POA service, which seems reasonable for what's included. Although I don't need that kind of service, I was impressed that he took the time to explain that over the phone without rushing or trying to sell me on something I don't yet need.
As I said I can't rate their other financial planning or tax prep services, so this review is only for their notary services and customer service.

I had my taxes done here for the first & last time. At my initial visit...I offered to pay for services at that time but was told no I’d be billed. I got my taxes & the accountant did not properly prepare my city taxes & missed a $326 city w2 payment to our city & did not put the direct deposit on our federal taxes. Once these items were fixed we mailed in our singed form & payment check. Note that I later got a bill for an additional mistake that was made in my taxes I didn’t happen to catch. We then got notice our taxes were filed & accepted by he IRS-something that’s not done without payment. Well, they somehow lost my check-call me & treat me like I never paid them & tell me not to worry about my check they lost floating out there & to just reissue payment. Ummm no...let me get that stop pay in place before I do that. Well they call 2 days later after I told them I will give it a few days before I do the stop pay to ensure they didn’t run the check before I stop payment & are kinda rude-again accusatory & never once have apologized to me about the inconvenience or their error. Mind you I’ve expressed these concerns over the phone. Due to this-yes I take my time sending my payment but in the mean time receive several unprofessional voicemails from Regina. I am highly unsatisfied with the service. When I sent my payment in-I asked to not be contacted by them ever again as I found the service incompetent & rude-yet now after never getting a solicitation email-I now am.
