My wife convinced me to try BJs for my prescription glasses this time. We were getting all these emails about the discounts, and her glasses were ok. Well, even though I think they look great, they are the worst glasses I've had since starting with progressives in 2013.
The lenses I would rate 4/10, really only good for distance. So I wear older glasses when necessary, even an old pair of prescription safety glasses at times.
And they could not get the frames right. My ears are uneven, and they can't adjust for that, due to metal "arms". They also slide down my nose if I tip my head even a little. Tightening the screws didn't help. I told them that the springs in the sides were way too weak.
I was told that since the Optical division changed hands right after I got them that there was nothing they could do about it. So I have to wait 20 months until I can get another pair from my vision plan!

I have had nothing but great experiences at BJ's optical. I have purchased 3 pairs of glasses total. I always find frames I like and save more money than I would if I used my insurance. The customer service is excellent. Everyone I have dealt with is super friendly and knowledgeable.

Here's a tip...When using coupons take multiple of the one coupon...90% of the time it will scan twice...and you can combine their on store coupons with manufacturer coupons as well
