H&R Block did not file our taxes last year, despite me providing receipt showing our payment and using Catherine Fife's services in 2023. Although this seems to have been resolved, and she offered to credit back last year's fees due to the confusion (which I expressed gratitude and appreciation to her, and I hope she follows through on), this seemed to set the tone for the atmosphere of the appointment this year as well. When filing for 2024, Catherine Fife was unorganized and spoke in vague, circumstantial, and non-specific terms when describing our tax return and instructions to meet our future payment obligations. I repeatedly attempted to reassure her that that my comments and concerns were not intended as attacks. When I asked questions, she got upset and frustrated with me, and threatened to quit the return and suggested I take my business elsewhere if I wasn't going to be happy. I cannot say for sure what prompted her reaction, but I believe I must have had a frustrated/dazed look throughout as I was trying to follow what she was saying. I was polite, was mostly simply quiet as I was trying to listen throughout, but I often asked for clarification. I expressed that I was merely confused and wanted to understand. I expressed that I only wanted to make sure my family and I weren't going to be hurt down the road, and that this was the reason for my asking her to repeat or clarify parts of our return that was unclear to me. Near the end of the appointment, I was asking for permission to ask a question to try not to set her off again. Catherine was easily frustrated, rude, and unprofessional. I felt like I was being chastised or that I was an inconvenience because I didn't understand her. I am not sure that it is H&R Block's issue as much as Catherine's. I cannot presume why she was upset with me, but she was not polite and easily frustratable when I attempted to understand my return and payment instructions. I have reason to believe I am not the only one, as I heard her complaining about another client's attitude prior to my first meeting with her this year. I will not use H&R Block after 2 consecutive years of unprofessional issues.

Really tryin to be nice to these people. I keep getting hung up on because they messed up my taxes. They don’t know what they are doing !!!!!!! Starting to think fraud . Sharron was my tax pro was friendly at first but she don’t know what she’s doing. Save your money and find a better tax pro

Check the price before you commit. Also, don't count on leaving if you schedule a drop off. I started my taxes with them on-line and wanted them to review it. They charged me $205 to review and complete my return I could have finished on-line for free or way cheaper
