International move from NH to the UK. Beware of hidden costs until your HHG are delivered! Loading and unloading crews were excellent at both ends and very friendly and professional. A shout out to Chris, who was very helpful but that's where it ends. Our move manager was difficult to contact and tried to charge us twice for unloading/loading services. Not an easy person to work with. We would not recommend for international or military overseas moves.

Dave our driver was Great. Loading and unloading crew also. All were very friendly but very professional. Would definitely use them for a local our out of state move. Ours was out of state. They were on time n both the pick up and delivery.

I wish I could give zero stars. Planes moving and storage is the worst moving service in Dayton. They've twice botched our military moves. The management office will not make a single effort to help you. Do yourself and your family a favor and litterally look anywhere else...seriously anywhere else.

If there was a way to give them minus starts I would. We contacted this mover to move our entire house two months ago. We explained to them that our house was a brand new custom build and we wanted them to do whatever was necessary to prevent any damage to floors and walls, no matter what the cost. We were assured that they would put their best crew on the job. We decided to use Planes and paid in full prior to the move. My wife called them several times to remind about our expectations for the move and each time they promised us their best. They told us they would call before they Arrived on the move day, but instead just showed up. They packed up our old house and only damaged one wall. I met them at the new house and politely reminded them to please be careful not rush and not scratch new hardwood floors. First thing they do is scratch my floor. We have the crew stop until supervisor arrives to document damage which he does, takes photos and assures us that planes will make this right. They finish the move and I find other damage to walls and we submit the claim form. Miraculously when they send out an inspector he didn't get down on the floor and didn't take pictures said he saw the damage and would get back to us. Their response was not only is there no damage but even if there was there is no way we could have caused any in the first place. Even after the manager admitted it was damaged that day. Completely dishonest business Do Not Use them. They will take your money, damage your house, and call you a liar.

I used Planes to move from Indianapolis area to Virginia. Throughout the process, from time of initial estimate through to final delivery, I found Planes to be extremely professional and helpful. Their estimate was thorough and right on target with final costs. The care they took with the moving of my goods was excellent. No damage and no lost parts! I have moved many times, having served in the Army, and this was one of the best moves I have had. The staff was very supportive and available at all times. I would definitely recommend this company for movers

These guys aren't that great with moving. We had a military move, and they were contracted out to bring our stuff to our house. The guys who packed our stuff at the other end were great.. (S&M Moving). Everything went downhill when our stuff was transferred to Planes Moving & Storage. They weren't very honest. Biggest red flag, was them checking off that we did not want them to unpack and remove all the boxes for us. And then, they hid that line with other papers and told us to sign the bottom of the form for the "Notification of Loss or damage at delivery". We were fine with this since we wanted to unpack everything ourselves anyway, but they didn't even ask us. Another red flag was them getting mad at us for telling them to give us a minute to make sure all the boxes were there. They just wanted us to sign off saying we got everything and they wanted to leave fast. The guy in charge said everything came packed up in crates so there shouldn't be anything missing. I told him that's great, but everything wasn't shipped in crates so we're still going to check. Also they claimed that they had to carry a piano up a whole flight of stairs so they would need excess carry services. That's just BS. We don't have a piano. It's just an electronic keyboard. I can carry it myself! We have other furniture that's heavier than this. SO DISHONEST. And they took about five or six smoke breaks. I would NOT recommend Planes Moving & Storage of Dayton!! EVER!!!!!!!!

Forced to use them for a military move from Dayton to Albuquerque, horrible experience. The customer service rep (Greg) is useless, has no idea where his drivers and he gives the attitude that he does not care. "They will be there when they get there" was his comment. The lady who was in charge of itemizing things was also very rude, immediately making the comment "well this will take a day" after arriving to my storage where I had already packed up the majority of my things. She continued to be curt the entire stay and it is obvious she did not want to be here. The two gentlemen loading and driving the truck were very pleasant and worked hard. I do not have high hopes for the arrival of my things safely in Albuquerque. I would advise any military members who see this company on their Tmo orders to call the office and try to lobby for another company. I frankly would have dropped them after the phone conversation had it been a private transaction.

I wish I could give them NO STARS! It's been a month since our move. The truck driver and the loading guys at both end rock---great guys! Planes Moving and Storage (Ohio), Horizon Moving (Phoenix) and United Van Lines SUCK! They were dishonest on our estimate, caused damage to our driveway and are now denying our claim because we didn't notify United within 24 hours (we called Planes and Horizon with 12 hours, but apparently that's not good enough---but neither Planes or Horizon told us we should call United asap so it was almost three days before the Ohio and Phoenix reps said they couldn't help us because the insurance was thru United. I smell scam!) We feel bad because although we were FORCED to buy insurance, my nephew---who used to drive produce across country and knew a lot of drivers who drove moving trucks---says the guys told him that the moving companies will pocket the insurance money and take any costs out of the truck drivers pay---and like I said---our truck driver guy was super nice and helpful and I can't say enough good things about him and the loading crews in Ohio and Phoenix. I hate to see him penalized. We also paid hundreds of dollars to have a glass table top and our two big screen tvs crated. They only put the 52" tv in a wooden crate. The 38" and the glass tabletop were just wrapped and put in cardboard cartons---we could have done that. Maybe we should have fussed then, but it was Moving Day and things were crazy getting an entire house loaded onto a truck in 6 hours (something I think these companies count on!) Then, when we got to AZ, we were informed we had to pay at least two hundred more to have the big tv uncrated----the crate had about a million wood screws and we don't even know at that point where our funky, 20 year old power drill is packed or if it works! I pointed out the contract just had a single charge for the crating and no total for the uncrating so we just assumed that paying hundreds of dollars meant they would uncrate the tv on the AZ end and the "customer service" rep told me: "you should have asked." The people at Planes were super nice during the "small" move and when we were preparing for the "big" move, but once the companies got the certified check, they could care less. I guess I can see their point----it's not like we are going to be repeat customers every week, so why put themselves out service-wise or financially? But my nephew says that by the accounts from the Moving Van drivers, this is pretty common practice amongst all the moving companies, so all you can do is pick your poison carefully. Get every T crossed and I dotted. It's not so much they lie, as they don't provide full information. Once they have your stuff, what are you going to do?

They have the worst customer service ever. The sales agent and her boss have the worst phone etiquette. Can't imagine how the move would have went. Glad we didn't get any further. RED FLAGS!!!
