“Stopped in for the first time, so I had to get two of everything. So far I have like all of them, we got the dark chocolate versions. We also got a box of bourbon cherry, I have to say that I like the regular chocolate covered cherry the gals gave me to try. The gals in the shop are sweet like the candy.”
“Best and freshest candy you can get! I no longer live in Dayton but visit Esther Price when I come home to visit. They always stock my favorite candy - Opera Creams in milk chocolate. They have the best peanut butter fudge, tastes homemade. They do have small gift items available, trendy candy items and seasonal goodies. There is something for everyone!Parking: Most parking is behind the building. It is easy to pass the driveway - it’s between the church and their building.”
“Lovely local chocolate factory! We are so fortunate to have this hidden gem of a business here in Springboro. The dark chocolate almond is a real favorite and I don't trust myself to buy it that often as I cannot stop until the whole box is empty in one sitting. 5 Stars for product. The 4 stars are for service. I seem to always have to ask for things like wrapping, ribbon, a gold bow, a sticky label etc. I guess I'm so used to being in Europe where almost everything gets a nice wrap. For the prices, it would be nice if the service staff at least asked customers if it was a gift etc. They usually just put everything into a single container or bag and I feel like I am bothering them to have chocolates placed into separate containers (for gifts).”
“A kind and generous neighbor of mine gave me a nicely designed 1lb. holiday tin of their Fancy Mixed Nuts. I found that they were EASILY the very best mixed nuts I've ever had. I can't recall ever having a mix without peanuts, but this one was without them...and seamingly replaced the peanuts with cashews, which made a huge difference. Nothing against peanuts, but having only cashews, almonds. pecans and brazil nuts made for a superior product.I've driven past their location north of downtown on Main street countless times over the years without stopping in to check them out. You can be sure I'll do so in the near future now that I've had such an oustanding experience.”

“I went with a Friend and Associate to Middletown,Ohio to Eat Brunch @ a Soul Food Restaurant in the Downtown Area.After we eat we went Walking through the Downtown Area. As we were walking we came across Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop and went in to check it out. While in there looking I saw some Buckeyes and decided to get 1. And looking further noticed they had Ice Cream and saw they had some Banana Pudding Ice Cream and since Banana Pudding is one of my favorite Desserts, I got a sample.Wow, if it didn't Taste exactly like Banana Pudding so I got 2 Scoops and it was awesome.I will also visit there again when I return.The Lady there was Friendly and Hospitable.”
“The cashier behind the counter, Bill, was so nice! He was very friendly and had outstanding customer service. They have a wide variety of chocolate, fudge, and even fruity candies. We got Buckeyes, rum truffles and rocky road fudge and everything was delicious!”
