I was there for the plant sale! Last 30 minutes, all plants half price. I got some beautiful ferns and a garden fairy stick. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

I am devastated after reserving this venue over a month in advance for my mother's celebration of life and barely getting into the venue 5 minutes before the celebration was scheduled to start. There was no time for set up prior to people arriving for the event. I purposefully booked the venue from 12 to 4 and set the event for 1-3 to give us an hour before and after to set up and clean up. What was a once in a lifetime event was ruined because the building was not unlocked as I was advised it would be at the time of our reservation. To make things worse, because it was a Sunday I could not reach anyone with Wildwood or the city of Mentor to help us. I stood outside the venue in 30 degree weather for almost an hour in total panic and tears because I could not get in or get ahold of anyone to help. I called and emailed and still have not received a response to the email I sent Sunday when I was panicking trying to find help to get in and get set up. It was an out of state relative who got ahold of someone at Mentor parks and rec to help get us into the building. An hour into our event I was greeted by 2 people with Wildwood, I think or maybe the city of Mentor Parks and Rec. I am not sure because of my fluster and anxiety over the whole situation I didn't even get a contact name or number. They did however apologize and offer to give us an extra hour to make up for the delay and credit the hour we weren't able to get in. They also said someone would contact me after the holiday to discuss the incident and it is now Wednesday evening and all I've gotten is a receipt for the security deposit and one hour credit. No message. No call. No apology. It's truly disappointing. While I am grateful for the credit, it does not make up for the event being thrown into chaos. Instead of getting closure like I was hoping to with this event, I am left feeling disappointed and like I wish I could redo it the way I had imagined. Instead of enjoying the event I was left anxious and a mess. I am beyond depressed and don't want anyone to ever have to go through what my family and I did.

I went on a chilly fall day, but the grounds are well-kept, the manor is attractive, and the wildlife is beautiful. I live on the west side (50 minutes away), but this location is 30 minutes away from Downtown. I will be back.Dog-friendliness: Tons of paths and I saw multiple dogs out.

I regularly pull into the parking lot to check the Free Little Library. I've not attended any activity offered so I can comment on that, I have heard lots of good things about the center though.

Wildwood is a small but very beautiful park featuring the house that was once owned by the Garfield family. The woods have many wildflowers in the spring and summer, and trails for the winter.
Dog-friendliness: Dog drinking fountain in summer
Picnic area: Large selection of tables under trees
