Generally it is a pleasant store, however recently we had a very unplesant experience.
A relative brought a hand bag, with a defective latch. When she went to return it , the sales person was heard saying that ‘people like her’ ( (we are from South -Asia) must have used it , broken the latch & have now brought it back.
My relative’s daughter- in- law who was visiting from Canada was shocked at this comment & was vocal in her displeasure.
I on the other hand was mortified. We have been living in Mentor since the past 3 years & found it to be a friendly, courteous city.
I strongly suggest anti- discrimination training for the staff & hope that moving forward this is not the norm.

Store was clean and well lit, found several bargains. Checkout line was long but moved quickly.

Jessica was super nice and helped me but Joann is SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL in front of customers it's disgusting

Incredible amount of merchandise to choose from. Prices are reasonable. Store is well lighted, everything is organized, personnel are helpful.

So frustrating!! I finally have a night out with my husband and we decided to go to TJ Maxx as we have only been buying clothes online at Amazon because of our work schedules. I had a cart with 4 outfits and a pair of shoes to try on, we were told no we could not try them on as the manager decided to close the fitting room! If you would like to leave early or something why as the manager wouldn't you give your customers a friendly warning that the dressing room will close in 15 minutes or something? It was only 8:00 PM and the store closes at 9:30. My husband said we can come back tomorrow but I'm done. I lost my mojo. I was excited to shop in store and the management just ruined that for me. Back to Amazon I guess.
