I made an appointment for a shattered rear window a week prior to the service. The day prior to the service, I received an alert that my glass was not in stock yet. Minutes later, I received another call stating the glass was in stock, on site and to ignore that alert. I dropped my vehicle off the day of the scheduled service at the Mentor, Ohio location (I felt that in the winter, I wanted the employee to do a thorough job and allowing him to be in a warm environment, bringing it to them would be best). I received a call that the window was not in stock. So, I needed to wait a day (with a child and a one vehicle household). When finally picking it up, I was pleased, until I went and got a car wash. The rear electrical rubber seal was not placed back into the socket causing the water to flow into the vehicle. The window is wavier than a fun house mirror and my defroster’s are no longer operable. My experience with Safelite was not a positive. I sent an email to Safelite and never received any feedback.

Very responsive! Kept me in the know during every step of my windshield replacement process. They were able to get me back to moving quickly even in a snow storm!

Was told they could calibrate the windshield and only to find out they could not do it. Was told to take it to the dealer but contact insurance company to go under same claim number. When the insurance company was contacted again to follow-up; they indicated they need 7-10 day lead time and it required payment up front and then seek reimbursement. First, Safelite knew the make and model of the vehicle and when the vehicle was brought in the first thing they say is they want to make sure the windshield is the correct one ???? Then after leaving the car for over 2 hours they state they can’t calibrate it????? I would recommend whenever dealing with a windshield to go through your dealership and let them be the ones to ensure the entire job is done right. But NEVER bring to Safelite even though they say they can calibrate. Such a waste of time!Response to Safelite: When a person gives the Make and Model of their vehicle, if your business is to replace windshields and if someone happens to bring in a high value vehicle that may not come in as often or from past experience you are not able to calibrate…. You would think that there would be flags in your system to notify the customer in advance to just take it to the dealer. Now what you have done is accepted the work to get paid and then tell the customer we have the windshield in but you have to go to the dealer to get it calibrated. The simple answer would be, unfortunately due to the model of your vehicle, you need to go to your dealership because we can not calibrate your particular vehicle.

Completely professional staff. However, I went in for a windshield repair and it looks no different. Huge waste of $180.

I have to give 2 stars because of all the ongoing issues the folks at Safelite have been good to work with. Windshield was replaced in June; scratched the car and the trim was not put back on properly. The trim was “fixed” 2 weeks ago and now when driving at highway speed, there is a knocking, clicking sound coming from the “repaired” area. Found that out this weekend and will need to call again. Smh

I went in circles with their automated answering service. I wanted to talk to a live person about a problem with my rear window gasket which has come detached and all they wanted to do was find out how i was going to pay for replacing broken glass!!! I tried 3 times and finally gave up!

Luckily I had insurance to cover my windshield repair but what really upsetting was the state my car was returned in. Small fractures of glass all over the place and I only noticed after sitting down and getting pricked. Techs plz be careful and double check this for future repairs.

I brought my 2022 Tucson in for a windshield replacement on 7/5/23, at the end of the day I received a call that the windshield they had did not work with the sensors in the car, they asked me to bring my car back when the new windshield arrived. On 7/14/23 I brought the car back and everything appeared to be a perfect fit, the sensor warnings were no longer going off.Unfortunately after this event, my husband noticed that our automated headlights were not responding to the change in daylight as usual, and our dash screen behind the wheel was also dimming and brightening at the wrong times making a lot of information difficult to read and basically useless. We can no longer use the automatic option for our headlights and such as well.I've tried calling, emailing and everything and no one ever calls or emails back so I'm guessing this is something I'll have to pay to fix which is frustrating.
