Do NOT buy any equipment from this store unless you want months of headaches and throwing your money out the window. My husband and I purchased a Toro lawnmower, leaf blower, and weed wacker. The lawn mower was purchased assembled, and was put together by Greg the owner. He told us to put gas and oil in the mower before starting it. We followed his instructions and the lawnmower would not start. When we attempted to call the store we were not able to speak with anyone for weeks. We went to the store with the mower and were told there was no oil in the lawnmower and they refused to help us stating it was our fault. Told us to go to Lake Erie lawn and garden repair for the toro rep, but to not tell them we purchased from ace as they have some personal fued going on. After months of going back and forth with the repair facility and toro telling us that ace should have replaced the mower we now have to either pay for a repair (same price as buying a new one) or just get a new one. Greg would not do right and replace our mower. As all of these previous comments prove they don’t care that they are ripping people off and costing them hundreds of dollars. Absolutely disgusting Greg. Thanks for everything. Horrible customer service. Better off going to Lowe’s or Home Depot.

I have spent thousands of dollars at this particular store. Choose it over lowes or the other large box stores. I've bought paint, plumbing repair equipment, no less than 50 bags of garden soil and garden equipment. Probably have 20 of the stores seasoning in my cabinet.
If you buy a garden rake, the tool should work correctly. To have that same tool snap (2 separate rskes) at the connection of the rake head and handle is 100% quality issue. To be told by store manager that he doesn't have time to even discuss my concerns is ridiculous.
I will not be coming back to this store purely due to the horrible customer service. I'll take my business back to the big box stores.
***yes I may have had prior good experiences, but it only took one to lose a customer. Jason should have made this right, poor business decisions, poor customer service.

I’ve never been treated so poorly as a customer. After running around all day I finally had time to swing by Ace and get their mulch that was on sale. I believe the associate’s name was John. I swing around back to get my mulch. John already has an attitude right from the get-go and doesn’t signal me which pallet was what. Just says “you going to back up?” Great start. I have a snow brush and an empty paper bag in my trunk. I moved the running shoes from there to my backseat. I put my gloves on and help John out, being considerate cause I’m sure he’s been doing it all day. I have a sedan. 15 bags weren’t going to fit and I admittedly didn’t think about the space but also knew I could make two trips, shouldn’t be that big of a deal I thought. Unbeknownst to me, John went back inside and talked some s*** to a coworker (s/o was inside and heard all of it) and exaggerated how much stuff was in my trunk, how I’m so stupid, why do people with sedans even go there, and how I better get back before 7:30… even though your store closes at 8. I live close by, I wouldn’t make this purchase + trip if I didn’t think I would make it all before 8. After my gf told me what was said I definitely didn’t help John the second time ‘round. Never shopping there again. Manager was very nice and considerate. I don’t know why his staff all have bad attitudes. This usually isn’t the case there. But if you’re buying mulch, and John is loading you up, make sure you strictly own a truck and you have absolutely nothing in your trunk/bed otherwise John will put you down in his hit list.

Scott helped us fix our garden-hose. It was leaking and he suggested the replacement washers. We got home and used the washers- Viòla! No more leak in our garden-hose! Thank you so much for your experience and knowledge! Greatly appreciated. Thankful for our local Ace Hardware!

Yeah, I've tried giving this place multiple chances but it's not worth it. The previous negative reviews say it all. They're surprisingly confrontational and rude. Im not a customer that normally complains or ends up in a situation where I have to say no firmly before someone gets the hint. The cashier was nice but the manager is a complete tool. They harp on you for your personal information like their jobs depend on it. I thought it was a pretty basic premise taught to young children but I guess "no" at this place is just another word for "keep trying until your customers decide larger retailers twice the distance from you are a better option"
