Do you wanna know the real about Panther ?from a X driver for themThey will call it, owner operator which basically means You will rent a truck from ExpediterThat you will have to pay forYou will have to pay for all your gas your pike tolls.Which will come out of your checkPanther is only their broker who gets them jobs in which you the CDL driver Will be deducted for all the expenses If they send you to jobs on the West Coast, you will be there three and four days on layoversExpediter whom handles all of theMaintenance also, the truck you will be renting.You are lucky if you make 800 a week you are truly Lucky after the deductionsHonestly, working for them in my opinionIt’s truly not worth it unless you on your own tractor trailer

The rate is trash 1.40 a mile owner operators avoid going to this company plus they are clueless to when you return the equipment they have no idea who it use to belong which truck and they clueless to the rates

I was a contractor from 2017-2019 Some of the workers in the office are messy!Someone I referred to this company, her husband (owner op) had to tell Matt (A Dispatcher) about his wife’s whereabouts when she NO LONGER work for and with him and in travel to tend to her son’s treatments which is non of you alls business. If someone can not work for a period of time they just can not work. FMLA! HIPPA LAWS! SHAME ON YOU! (Sounds familiar to another team 2017) This company does not follow Federal laws so record record record. Tell them you are recording them! Every encounter. In, out and around your truck and phone calls. They look for yes men so if you have a backbone, this company is not for you. If you are NOT a push over… go elsewhere. If you like to be micro managed as an owner op, this is the place for you! Safety need to learn that Federal Laws over rule what they think are good bylaws. I left here in 2019 and to hear, read and see the unprofessionalism bought back memories. They are playing with people by terminating and reinstating contracts because of gossip and hear say in the office. When the truth is on video and in black and white. This is an old game they play! BEWARE!

Husband worked for them and loved doing it until he was involved in a near fatal accident!!!! It was not his fault ,but after he recovered he was denied return because they said he was a liability !!!!!

They are a decent carrier to partner with. They lack load capacity and will have your trucks sitting if your not carefully about the load selection process. The recruiting staff is spectacular. The top leadership doesn't have the pulse of the market. The VP David K. will not talk to fleet owners at all. That's not a good sign. The life blood of your business is the fleet owner so it makes no sense not to have open lines of communication with them.

Well....here I am sitting again, panther costing me more money than they're making me....again. To add to the mess. Company's are required by FEDERAL LAW to adhere to the adverse driving conditions hos. Not try to send a tow truck to try to cost a driver more money. Will be calling FMCSA first thing Monday morning.

Wish I could leve a review with no star. Despicable company with Despicable business practices & the spews into the dispatchers. NO a care in the world for there drivers or there families.My best friend & former OTR Team Mate has been on the road for 9 MONTHS with ONLY 8 days in total last 3 back in 2022 for THANKSGIVING.He's with his CDL or wallet, his Fleet Owner, Fleet Manager, Safety & Dispatch ALL know without a care I've listen to & recorded the conversations without them aware now because they won't get him freightliner home as his Girlfriend of 25yrs is dieing of cancer I have to send him money rather then feed my grandchildren I raised.THE Worst of THE WoRst TRUELY DESPICABLE Company

They're alright if you're just starting your trucking career, but not a Company you would want to stay with.You have to pay Taxes yourself at the end of the year, and search for your own Health, Dental and Life Insurance.Take my advice and stay as far as you can from this Company.

Worked close to a year as an owner operator for them on their LDS division. Started real strong making good money, then they started brokering out their loads to 3rd party carriers and revenue started to fall as the very good loads were not available to Panther/Arcbest drivers, not to mention constant issues with not being paid accordingly. To top that off you had some people in dispatch who were a pain to deal with, being how rude they were most knowingly mr Rick Meeks who would either always hangup on you or give you attitude , i referred some drivers to come here but just as myself we all left as they just proved the success of outside carriers was a priority rather then that of their own drivers. For the beginning of my experience here it was enjoyable but once how they say the honeymoon faze is up, they are no better then any other mega carrier such as swift or England who put profit over people.
