We worked with Cassandra Kearney to pre-plan our funerals. She was very nice, professional and knowledgeable, and she explained our options clearly. This certainly helped us to understand the process and make informed decisions.

If I could rate ZERO stars, I would. Our experience during our time of grief was unacceptable. We expected caring and compassionate staff but received rude behavior during the calling hours. No one greeted or held the door for our friends and family. Only one staff person was there and he sat slumped in a chair on his phone the entire time. He was anxious for us to leave so he could lock the doors. I would recommend finding another Medina-based funeral home who treats grieving families as they deserve!

Terrible Experience. We have used Carlson on 4 previous occasions when the Carlson's owned it. The lack of caring by anyone from the removal of my Brothers body to the services where the man sat in a chair for 3 hours and did absolutely nothing to help was appalling. I have been associated with the funeral business for 50 years in other cities and have never seen service at the funeral home be so poor. I will say that Steve the manager did a nice graveside service but it did not outweigh all of the negative impact.Keith Karlo

I would not recommend Carlson in Medina. My Brother in law passed away and the service we received was shameful. The evening of the calling hours there was one person on duty. He was slumped in a chair most of the night. Everyone else was at their Christmas party! Wow! We received absolutely NO SERVICE that evening. This company should be embarrassed. Very sad.

The team at Carlson Medina was absolutely great. They were understanding of our loss and did everything that we needed to have a service that memorialized our loved one and provided the closure for family and friends. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The process was smooth and they were incredibly helpful in helping us decide what would be best for our family. All together the experience and service provided invaluable.

My opinion probably is biased since we use other well known funeral home in town. Today actually changed my opinion of Carlson! The staff was professional, courteous ntm down to earth good ppl!! Went out of their way to help me !! Really just meant alot. Thank you VERY much!!!2 gentleman who were working memorial service were type ppl you want around helping when life's horrible moments happen.

I lost my husband suddenly and didn't know what to do first. Fred,Laurie and Doc we're more then helpful. Fred took the time to explain everything to me and walk me through every procedure, Laurie was just there to listen to me when I'm falling apart make me laugh and to help deal with some of the family issues, and Doc big teddybear. The whole staff was just amazing I would highly recommend them.

Carlson Funeral Home helped my family out at the darkest moment of our lives. They took care of everything. It was extremely easy on us when we were not in a frame of mind to make difficult choices.Dr.Michael Carlson performed the service for our loved one even though it was not easy for him because he had known our son since the day he was born. This was the reason I wanted him to do the service and it was beautiful and personal.I cannot begin to Express how much my family appreciate the ease of the process when everything around you is crashing in on you I did not have to think about the day our son was to be buried.
