Stephanie and Gigi are always looking at ways to give their residence fun experiences and great programs to keep up with social engagement and fun. With trips to local concerts or events at their facility the residents can look forward to the activities available.

I looked everywhere to find a good place for my Mom who could no longer live in her home of 50 years. When I came to visit GV, every interaction with the staff and residents was pleasant. The food was delicious (that is more important than I realized at first) and the staff seems to really enjoy interacting with the residents. The studio room was big enough to fit all of Mom's most precious furniture to make it feel like home. There are lots of activities to keep her busy or she can rest in her room if she prefers. Many of the residents keep their doors open ready for visitors in the afternoon or walk the halls for exercise and stop to talk. This is a wonderful place! Mom is happily settled in. So far, so great!

It is never an easy decision to find the right place for your loved one. When my mother realized that should could no longer stay in her condo after my dad passed, as a family, her five children had to help her make that decision. After looking at several options, collectively we agreed without question that Governors Village was the place for our mom. We wanted there to be know doubt that she would love it before we brought her to see what we felt was the right fit for her. When she entered, the staff took her around to show her the options of rooms to pick out and let her know that she could bring whatever furniture and decorations brought her comfort. They showed her all of the special places both inside and outside the facility. She loved it! She could not believe how nice her room was but most of all, she immediately connected with the entire staff. They kept her busy playing games, or getting her haircut and manicure. She had her favorite place just outside her room that she liked to go when the weather was nice. We even celebrated her her birthday as a family during COVID on the large outside patio. My mom was always resistant to any place that wasn't her home. At some point during her stay, she had to be transferred to a skilled nursing facility which happened to be right next door. We discussed it with staff at Governors Village, they completed the appropriate paperwork and without any hassle mom was transferred. Her experiences there were much different then Governors Village, so she asked if she could just go home. Since we we hadn't sold her condo, we asked if she was referring to going back to her condo. She said no I want to go back to Governors Village to be with all of my friends. As the paramedic was wheeled her through the front doors, she was greeted by every employee she passed with a big "You're back Jackie! We missed you! She considered each and every one of them part of her family. Governors Village also become family for all of her children. I personally missed the staff so much after my mom passed that I continued to take the puppy that I brought to comfort my mom to all visit all of her friends; I missed them and I knew they missed the puppy. Recently, I retired from a yoga business that I owned and asked staff if I could voluntarily bring chair yoga to Governors Village to further deepen the community experience, have some fun, while learning ways to breathe, move, and feel fully alive. The answer was "absolutely". I so look forward to Monday morning chair yoga at Governors' Village with staff staff and resident friends! What an amazing place and group of people!

I am very impressed with Governor’s Village. As an outside vendor partnering with their team to care for their community, they are extremely pleasant and easy to work with. They have the friendliest staff I’ve ever met. I'm always greeted with a smile at the front desk, and everyone is so helpful. The nursing and office staff are very accommodating and always go above and beyond for their residents. This team works vigorously to ensure their residents are well taken care of and feel at home.

Steadily declining care, lack of staff and high tolerance for poor employee and agency work ethic. Unkept promises. Lack of communication. Rising costs. Family members doing most of the work they are paying for.

I'm the Memory Care Advisor at Arden Courts of Chagrin Falls. When a person calls me and their loved one would do better at a regular Assisted Living I would not hesitate to recommend Governors Village. It's a wonderful Assisted Living Community. It's family owned and operated so they get to know every resident like family. Jessica, the Marketing Director, is a great partner to have in this industry. She really cares about her residents.

My mother has been a resident for 1.5 years and has had an overall good experience. During the pandemic, family & friends were able to visit in the beautiful outdoor courtyard & that helped keep the morale of the residents very high. The staff is very caring & supportive & the residents become such good friends with each other & with the staff. Everyone's concern for one another makes them all a family, especially during this stressful time.
