Excellent advice but high prices. Use this store to decide on type and softness of mattress but then consider buying elsewhere. $5000 was way more than we wanted to spend.Elsewhere, Bought a different mattress for under $1000. Not quite as firm but much more affordable foam mattress.Be sure to read reviews on mattresses online. Some online stores allow trials for up to a whole year. Some firm mattresses are actually soft, depending on manufacturer.When I purchased a mattress a few years ago I used a tactic of telling them how much I actually could spend, on my way out, and they came down to that price as I slowly walked out. That probably only works at owner operated stores, but I still own my $350 mattress and love it.

Eileen was very helpful! I highly recommend OMF. Last bed/mattress from them is still great at 20+ years. It was just time for a change to a Serenity Latex, Adjustable Bed upgrade!
