I am still giving this place a good review because this place was a nice & better place to live at than another apartment complex I lived at for 3 years in Mayfield heights the management staff and the maintenance staff were nice and friendly I knew Ray the Maintenance guy from another apartment complex I lived at I lived here for a a year they had package lockers I chose not to renew my lease here because I have been wanting to move to the Akron area since October of 2017 because of new scenery at my new place
the only complaints I had were fire alarms constantly going off all times throughout the day & night both randomly sometimes they were false alarms being pulled and sometimes when the fire alarms went off I saw smoke and I also smelled smoke I also had a neighbor who had roaches that came to my apartment who asked me about them I said to him no I don't know anything about them I kept my place clean I had a cleaning lady clean! Even other people stayed my place was not dirty they have seen worse
also the washers and dryers from coin machine who they used kept breaking down in the laundry facility along with washers leaking and I almost slipped in here luckily I was okay ?

I appeared today with my elderly mother to look at a unit. Upon entering we got a very unfriendly welcome from an African American woman. She was very rude the entire time we were there, never made eye contact, never invited us to have a seat, and in the middle of our conversation she stopped to have another conversation with another employee about what she had eaten. My father is handicapped and I asked about handicap accessibly and she rudely told me "well we have elevators". I immediately informed my mom that we will not be looking at these units as the staff is rude and disrespectful. I will never recommend these apartments to anyone and based on the reviews they need to do some in house cleaning of their staff. Also, we were both asked to show IDs to view the unit, I have rented multiple houses in ver affluent neighborhoods and have never been asked to show ID especially if I'm not the one renting. In this day and age i am not comfortable with everyone scanning my ID. Scams are everywhere and with this young ladies attitude i would never give her any of my personal information. I hope management speaks with her about her attitude and retrains her or you will never get any new tenants unless they are desperate.

Very Disappointed with Coppertree Apartments!! I moved into Coppertree Apartments 03/03/2023. I was in love with the pictures on their website which led me to schedule a tour of the building. They showed me a beautiful model of the unit that I was interested in. I then applied and toured the unit I was supposed to move into. On 03/02/23 I virtually signed my lease of the unit I was supposed to move into. On 03/03/23, I went to get the keys to move in that same day, they told me that there was a problem found with my until and it wouldn’t be ready for another month so they gave me another unit very similar to what I had seen. Once I got to my unit, it was the complete opposite of what I expected. However, it was a last minute change and the apartment was not bad so I just moved in. Fast forward 3 days into my new home, I came home from work and in the kitchen, I saw a ROACH come from behind the cabinets by the sink. Instantly I reached out to the leasing office to let them know. Their response was very calm and they stated they will have me added to the “Pest Control List”. Pest Control came out the next week and treated the until. Within 2 days I saw 3 more ROACHES in the kitchen. By the end of March/2023, I had seen roaches in my apartment more than 3 times. Fast forward up to 10/31/2023, my girlfriend and I came home where we discovered a MOUSE on our counter. When the mouse noticed us, the MOUSE ran and jumped back into the stove. We called emergency maintenance and they came out and put traps down. Pulled out the stove and and discovered several holes behind the stove. Once maintenance left, the MOUSE was back on our counter within 20 minutes. We are very clean people. We moved into the apartment with brand new furniture and kept our apartment clean. However, we could never get rid of the ROACHES. We went the entire year of living there with Roaches. I thought we were the only ones because I would constantly look on the website under the reviews to see if anyone else made mention of having them, but no. I figured it was not only us when I would see dead ROACHES in the elevators and even in the LAUNDRY ROOMS. Also, HOT WATER is VERY limited there. From 12/24/23 - 1/2/24 the ONE AND ONLY hot water heater went out and we had to take showers with very little to no hot water. Also, the building’s fire alarms goes off once a week and there is never an emergency. Rubbish Chutes are always clogged and overflowing (probably the cause of the ROACHES). The pictures that are posted are very nice and the prices are not bad either, however BE WAR OF ROACHES AND MICE!!

I've been a residence here for about 11 years. Ray is always professional and accurate when repairing and maintaining the building.

As my first experience leasing an apartment, it was a smooth and accessible process. I went in not knowing what to expect, but all my apprehensions were forgotten from the service aline. Every interaction, either in person or on the phone, was always accommodating, attentive, and enjoyable.

I was very disappointed with the staff. I had a young lady that I had made an appointment with, and she told me the apartment that she wanted me to look But then, when I went to see the apartment, she had told me it was already taken from the people that had an earlier appointment. Well, I don’t understand that if you knew that I was supposed to see the apartment why would you give it to somebody else.. That was a turn off and yes, those apartments are too small. They are definitely not worth the money that they ask for especially when you hear sirens all day and night.

Dumpers. Put all dumpers in one place. Put over in large dumper area. It's in the corner, back out of sight. Property needs a face lift, and managers who cares about their property.

I didn't rent from them. I applied for apartment and submitted all required paperwork in two days. It took them two weeks to review and approve me. I applied in late Feb for apartment that should become available in May 1st. In early April they called me to tell that renter change his mind and will not be moving out. I told them that I will need to think about it and I will let them know. Lucky for me, I found apartment at Wynwood on the same day, got approved in two days and put security deposit down. The apartment was ready in three weeks, in late April and I signed the lease and moved in. I called Cooper Tree more like poopy tree, and told them that i would like my deposit back and they said no refund. I said why and they said that I had 72 hours to decide after they called me about the apartment. I told them to stop making up rules as they pleased and refund my $300 security deposit on the unit that is no longer available for rent as I have no obligations to rent any apartment from them and I was only interested in that specific unit and 72 hour rule was never shared with me verbally or in writing. I was put on hold and transferred to general manager that after long back and force conversation agreed to give my money back. I really dodged a bullet there.

This apartment hardly deserves a 1 star rating. My daughters lived in this apartment for a year and a half and moved out on March 21st. In the meantime, I had visited this apartment 3 times and lived there for 3 months. My 3rd visit was to help my daughters move out. At first my daughters notified the office that they were moving out on 3/22, but I went to the office twice and said that the move-out date had been changed to March 21st, and the office staff changed the date to March 21st after consulting with the manager.I visited the office on 3/21 to return all the apartment keys and they said that the refund and deposit for the remaining period of the apartment would be sent to the new address within a month.Even after 3 weeks, the refund did not arrive, so my daughter inquired by e-mail, but the answer came very unkindly, saying that it would take 30 business days to return the refund. That was a different answer from what I had initially heard about sending it within 30 days.My daughters finally received the deposit and refund on 4/3, but the calculation for the remaining days was wrong. My daughters lived until 3/21, but they calculated that my daughters lived until 3/22, so my daughters returned less than one day's rent. The next day I emailed the apartment to inform them of the miscalculation and ask for a refund of one day's rent. But no answer came. So, my daughter emailed again to protest, but there is no response yet. pls reply to me and my daughter ASAP.This apartment has poor soundproofing, so you can hear chatter from other apartments all day long, and you can't rest properly due to the sound of children running until late at night. The biggest problem is that the hallway is full of the smell of marijuana, and the smell of marijuana permeates into the apartment, making it difficult to sleep. For this reason, I do not want to recommend this apartment.
