Dylan w. Was the technician that came today to fix my bedroom closet door. He did an awesome job. I had fallen completely off. I let a note not to close the door because I have a cat and I was afraid he would hide in the closet when someone came it. Dylan did exactly as I requested. The door seems very secure now. Do I appreciate the work. But also as I mentioned I have a cat who hides sometimes from people and especially when someone comes in and I am not home. He usually is upset when I get home and is still hiding. Not today. I don't know why . He met me at the door same as always. So I really appreciate that. Finally a note was left on the outside of my door that a technician had been in my apartment, a not in my apartment stating what was done and signed by the technician! I am more than satisfied with the work and the speed on which it got done. I love living at Valley Stream Apartments. I highly recommend this community!

Our maintenance guys, Mark and Dylan were prompt and efficient. Needed a drain checked out and new seals for dishwasher upon moving in. They ordered it and fixed it right away! No issues yet. Fast service. Really appreciated it!

If I could leave a 0 for this place I would. Starting we've had something break every month without fail, some of it still isn't fixed. Before 7-16-24 our central air broke and on the 16th we made a work order and they came and told us we had to wait for a new air unit and they gave us a window air conditioning unit. Okay cool, right? WRONG. We have it running for a couple weeks and then i noticed the floor is extremely wet, soaked! Called the office, they assume we have it on the wrong mode, switch it around whatever. Don't think nothing of it till our room starts smelling like mildew and I notice the floor is more wet and the area of it grew. Come to find out theirs a drain plug and the last time they drained it they didn't plug it back. So for the almost month we've had it it leaked causing mildew smell and MOLD. We're sick from it now. 8/2/24 they wanted to renew our lease 8/5/24 the following Monday they no longer wanted to because we are "unhappy". Am i supposed to be happy I'm living with mold? Barely can fix anything in a timely manner. Your maintenance men come in without calling us?! And you raise our rent for a moldy apartment that everything breaks and needs replaced monthly!! Trailers, townhouses, A MORTGAGE, cost the same amount as it does to live here. They also love making excuses so they don't have to do something or so that you don't get mad at them, the lie lie and lie. Devils lie! Don't waste your time with them

Terrible terrible apartment complex for the price the sunrooms were never meant to be sunrooms they were porches that got three walls stuck up there so they could call them sun rooms the sun rooms are ate up with mold they just keep painting over it when it becomes an issue that they finally actually have to address because they don’t do it on their own free well you have to bug and bug and bug them to fix any thing then the spiders and millipedes crawling around everywhere when we first moved in the whole grounds of the complex is ate up with mole hills also numerous maintenance calls before they come to fix anything just the all-around bad they are in the verge of becoming section 8 give it a few more years and it will be place could be so nice but they don’t care enough

If you like holes in your walls, water leaking through the walls, high energy bills, loud disrespectful neighbor's, and apartment management that doesn't care about your needs or wellbeing of the unit you live in, well then, this is the perfect place to live! Definitely would not recommend living here especially for the cost. Very poor management, when they say they are going to fix something they keep making excuses on why it is not getting done and it won't get done. Had my car hit by one of there car port doors (cost $35 to rent a month) that came right off the hinge and damaged a brand new car not even a month old and fought me tooth and nail trying to get the damage covered because they literally only have the car doors screwed into half rotting plywood. Then we had a carbon monoxide issue, had to call the fire department because no one would do anything about it, ended up staying in a hotel for a week, couldn't cook any meals, so we had to eat out cause they had to is shut out gas stove off. We got reimbursed for the hotel stay but would not compensate for any food or loss time in the apartment! If you are looking for a place to live in the area definitely cross this one off your list!

Lived here only 11 months before I moved elsewhere.1. LOUD DOGSIf you are not a fan of hearing dogs bark constantly then look somewhere else. I had a neighbor below me who would take his dog out every night around 10 pm, and this dog would consistently bark very loud right outside my window while I was trying to sleep, and I have to wake up early for work. It also didn't help that he would scream at the dog for barking and not do anything about it other than create more noise. I had to make noise complaints about him and the dog but nothing came of it. Then there was yet another dog that was living on my floor that would also constantly bark every time someone opened their door or closed their door, and with 8 units in one building, needles to say it happened a lot. It was so loud that I could hear the dog no matter where I was in the apartment. Walls are incredibly thin and do not absorb noise at all. There is also dog poop everywhere outside since no one cleans up after their animals. If you are looking for an apartment that is pet friendly, then maybe you would want to live here, but since I didn't have any pets it was more of an annoyance.2. Apartment quality did not match price of rentApartments weren't very nice for the amount of rent I was paying. When I first moved in, so many things were either broken or just barely working. I went to open one of my closet doors and it literally fell of the track and hit the floor. The same thing happened to my oven door. Also had either birds or squirrels living in my closet behind my hot water heater in the bedroom. I told maintenance about this but all they did was lay mousetraps around the closet. Another note is that the apartment has little to no natural light and is very dark and gloomy year-round. For some reason there are no celling lights in the bedrooms and you have to light them with lamps. Also my heat stopped working in the middle of winter and my apartment got down to 55 degrees until maintenance had to replace my thermostat. Then there's the "sunroom." The sunroom is like a patio but it has 4 uninsulated walls and a roof. I would have preferred either a larger sized living room or just a normal patio. I literally never went in my sunroom and only used it to store boxes because within 2 months of me living there, I knew I wasn't staying. Finally 2 weeks before moving out, my celling in my living room started leaking and caving in. At that point I didn't care much since I was leaving anyways.3. Other complaints:Only 1 washer and dryer for an entire building that had 8 units in it. Also was 5 dollars to wash and dry clothes every time. It is also nice to mention that there is a card you have to purchase to put money on, then use that card for laundry. Why not just use quarters is beyond me.Pool was nice, but too many loud kids without adult supervision.Door buzzer would randomly go off in the middle of the night repeatedly. Either someone was trying to get into my apartment or it was just broken. Either way it was kind of frightening.I've heard from others living there that there had been frequent break ins into cars, but thankfully this did not happen to me.If you were like me and needed a place to live within a months notice, and this is all that was available, then you just might have to take your chances. It is an ok place to live temporarily, then as soon as you can, do yourself a favor and move somewhere nicer. I am way happier that I am out of that dump.

My hot water tank was recently replaced. Maintenance personnel were very respectful and professional. I was without a furnace for a short period of time. i was well supplied with electric heaters to stay warm. The electric heaters worked great. I have no complaints. I compliment the maintenance team for a job well done! Thank you for everything.
