Mica helped me today from start to finish! She was by far the nicest, most helpful person there :) She went the extra mile and looked up my insurance to show me where I could pick frames out prior to being dilated so I really appreciated that! She ensured I had a pleasant experience :)

I had an appt for 2:10pm for an eye exam. I waited until 2:40pm and walked up to the counter. I was greeted by an old overweight woman with white hair. I calmly informed her I have been waiting for 30 minutes and I had an appointment. She said "okay" and looked at me right in my eyes as if she was saying whats your point. I turned around and walked out. They just missed out on money from an exam and two pairs of glasses for myself and then one pair for each family member of mine plus an exam for each also. What a horribly run company. Run away fast. THIS PLACE WILL WASTE YOUR TIME. TRUST THE REVIEWS. HORRIBLE

The staff is very welcoming, haven’t been in a few years and the Doc actually remembers me. Mica was exceptional helping with picking new glasses, she was very patient and if you had any questions she had an answer. I felt very comfortable and would recommend this place to anyone.

Very friendly and even though this office (Maumee) is busy I did not have to wait for hours to have my appointment.

Midwest eye consultants in Maumee are great. Staff, doctors, nurses are efficient, welcoming, provide excellent care. Thanks Dr. Monroe.Mica and Gloria were also wonderful during eye glass selection.

I saw a Perrysburg eye doctors whose office staff mistook my appointment/ he did not even have time to check my pressures and I have glaucoma, he had his staff do it. I decided to make a change to Midwest eye Consultants in Maumee. It took 11 days for me to get an appointment, my eye pressure was 31, they were so kind and helpful and had me come In Multiple times to make sure my pressures had come down with medications, they used a new procedure to lubricator the eye and basically hovered over me till my pressures were under control. I also did an eye exam for glasses there and I won’t lie to you but we had a few problems, Mica sorted it all out and took very good care of me to rectify the problems and make sure my glasses were made and correct. They went above and beyond in terms of customer service and patient satisfaction. It is the best experience I have had in terms of outcome that I have ever experienced and at my age, 77 , I have had a lot of experience with eye Doctors and glasses. The Perrysburg Dr. who I will not mention left me with high pressures and did not even call to see if I was okay, the other side of the coin is the customer service and hovering I received from the doctor at Mid west eye consultants and followed up by the fabulous knowledgeable staff in the glasses department. Yes you wait when you are in there but you know that everyone they see is given all the time they need to make sure their eyes are handled correctly,

Don't go here she told my ma that she had cataracts and needed surgery asap. Referred her right next door... my ma got a second opinion and they said her eyes are just fine. Place is outdated and old tech.

Today I had the pleasure of working with Sarah. She did my testing with me. She is amazing. Very kind. Helpful. Does not rush like others there. Is caring and explains what she is doing. This is a big improvement for Midwest. I love Dr Monroe, but your support staff? Not so much. The woman at the front desk with the bun is mean and abrasive. Please give Sarah a raise. She deserves it.

Midwest Eye in Maumee is where I went to get my glasses. Worked with MICA who is amazing with customer service. She is kind, understanding to my problem. Mica then worked hard to be sure I got the glasses I needed and earlier than was expected. This was so appreciated as hard to see without them. MICA IS THE BEST!!! Thank you for your great service.

Never answer their phone. I’ve left messages and no call back. They ordered the wrong contacts for me. Glasses way over priced for poor quality. I will it be going back

I have read the posted reviews and agree with many of the experiences. I left four messages (one every week) to see if my glasses that were paid for in full had been received. Staff seem friendly and responsible, but, not responding to three messages is not satisfactory.

Visit Notes: The doctor and attendants were a bit aggressive/stern in their deminer, possibly because I had not been back for a number of years and had I known this was the same outfit as years ago with simply a name change, I would not have selected them. True, I had not gone back, mainly due to what I felt was a demonstration of incompetence, not with the staff, but with the Doctor(s) as well as a genuine sense of exploitation. Their vague and secretive approach to your diagnoses and the treatment(s) for your issue puts my "Spidey" senses on alert, their retention of an outdated record system [analog v digital], coupled with a reluctance to provide a full report of their results and insights of my visit, makes it harder to gain an understanding and information on my condition(s) subsequently making it harder to research and compare their findings. No, I am not a medically trained professional, I am a rather good researcher though, and no dummy either. They are particularly good at the technical portion of the visits; they are efficient and appear to be thorough, still with only a "summary" of the visit I am just second guessing. Further, it is unclear if they are using the most up-to-date systems and methods as the processes are the very same, I experienced many years ago. The nontechnical portion, patient interaction, administration and such are where in my opinion, the failings lie. They are friendly in the front office, but notably lack any sense of urgency, putting personal conversations ahead of business and waiting patients. Cooperative up to a point, seems a line may have been drawn they can't cross when it comes to information regarding your medical condition and records, unlike other medical providers in the area who grant their patients to access the records; to their diagnosis, full view of any scans and x-rays, lab results, and their personal notes on your visit and condition. One final mention, I was prescribed a medicine and went to the pharmacy to retrieve it, was told it wasn't ready because they needed answers from the doctor who hadn't returned their call(s). I followed up the next time to the pharmacy, approximately a week later, same result except for an additional unreturned call to the doctor. This went on for over three weeks before the fourth call was finally returned, and answers provided so the prescription could be filled. These are my notes and intended to be simply informative, hope they are helpful.
