I've been going here for years and I just canceled all future appointments. Today was the end of it:
1.) The receptionist asked if I had a certain medical condition because I declined a "new" test after I explained that I get this test already. Indiscreetly Asking a patient about a possible medical condition in front a full waiting room is off-putting. Probably not HIPAA violating, but unprofessional.
2.) This exam was to check my prescription. The technician didn't perform this! After some other tests, the tech took me to the next room. The Dr. was ready to write up my prescription and send me on my way, without the service being performed. The Dr. did my exam after I said something, but how are they this disorganized?
3.) When I got to the desk to pay, I was greeted with more than double the cost of what I was told at my last appointment. I was asked who I spoke to previously at the desk in May (it's late August). I have no idea. I didn't think that I needed a written quote for an eye exam. For what I paid today, I would not have made the appointment that I had today. That's not a mistake on my part. They failed to inform me that eye exams for your prescription are one price if you buy glasses from them and one price if you don't.

I appreciate Dr. Monroe as a doctor. She is very thorough and has a great patient rapport. However, trying to call there to talk to someone is very difficult. You get caught up in long wait times and then have to leave a message for a call back for a simple question. I'm headed to cataract surgery and I hear good things about Dr. Mane. Hoping for a positive experience in their Cataract Institute.

As a new diabetic, I need to have annual diabetic eye exams. The Lenscrafter eye exam center that I had been using no longer had a physician acceptable by my insurance. United Health Care referred me to Dr Swain. My diabetic exam went smoothly, however; I sat waiting in a dark examination room long enough to memorize the eye chart & I could hear every word of the person being examined in the adjacent waiting room. (HIPAA??)
Second visit for my regular eye exam went smoothly & quickly with Dr Swain and associates,
Saying that my current prescription was a bit of an over correction. Since my last two scripts failed to help me see better, this was a relief to know that this could be resolved. I was then ushered to the eye glass area. The young woman there advised me to check with my former eye office about correcting my lens before refilling at your office. I liked that…not pushy about
Purchasing new frames & lenses. Another appointment scheduled for dry eye issues,

I am very pleased with the cataract surgery I received from Dr. Greta Mane. Back in 2017 I had my right eye done by another Dr. which was a bad experience. It took weeks to heal. Since it was years ago I was still somewhat afraid when my eye exam recommended my left eye needed cataract surgery . Since then I had switched ins.companies and my new one recommended Cataract and Laser Institute and I set appointment with Dr. Mane. The day of the surgery when I returned home I was not in any pain. I give this Institute five stars with Dr Mane and her team.

Had a wonderful experience at Maumee Cataract Clinic. The staff was attentive and professional. All appointments have been on time or even a little early, no waiting. Surgery went smoothly and follow up visits were thorough. Very happy with my results and highly recommend!

Called made an appointment. Showed up for my appointment. Signed in with receptionist. She took my insurance info, and told me to have a seat. Waited over an hour. Finally went to the desk and asked if waiting usually took this long. She says oh I’m sorry I forgot to put your paperwork in the right place. Then they get me into room. And the nurse asks how long has it been since I took my contacts out. I said that morning. So she says oh no we cannot do this exam because you have to have contacts out 5 days prior to the exam. I asked why didn’t someone tell me this when I made the appointment. She had no excuse. So I had to reschedule and now wait another month

Had an appointment today at 10 AM went I went into the office, it was dark. Was not greeted, front desk person spoke to me from accross the room, asking my name, birthday, etc. I said I had an appointment, she saw that it was canceled, I stated no one contacted me and told me. She stated Dr. Mane had her baby, well congratulations to that, but still no one contacted me. She told me it was recorded on my records that they did call my number, I said no one left a message.............she said they would not leave a message they juat try to reach you, that when they cancel an appointment they don't leave messages, VM's etc. I was not born yesterday,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they call 2-3 times to leave messages when you have an appointment as a reminmder, but not when they cancel you out. She would be happy to make anohter appointment with another Dr. (No Apology) My husband and I left with a bad feeling about the place and the people that are hired to be customer service friendly. So I have decised to find a new Dr. and leave them behind!!

I recommend Dr. Mane for blepharoplasty. She did an amazing job on my surgery. My stitches were so perfect and I am pleased with my results and follow up appointments. I highly recommend her for this procedure.

Thank you CLI for another pleasurable eye exam! It is so nice to be welcomed with smiling faces and relatively short waiting times. My technician, Rachel this time, was efficient and very thorough. She picked up on what I thought was something out of her realm and explained a service CLI has available to resolve my issue. A nice surprise!During my short time in the waiting room, I overheard the staff fitting an emergency into the schedule. A reminder as to why we sometimes may need to wait a little longer that we may wish.Thank you for being there for all of us!

Awful, Do not go here. They schedule an appointment every 10 minutes for the same doctor!There is doctor that can keep up with 6 appointments an hour, Are You Kidding Me!!!!!!!!Usual wait time to actually see the doctor from appointment time has been an hour and a half for my Mom who has Glacoma and Alzheimers. And that is 6 appointments!This place is a joke!!!!

they referred me to a retina specialist after a year passed after my cataract surgery. now my retina specialist is recommending I get the cataract surgery redone. the cataract and laser institute is giving me the runaround and won't return my phone calls.
