I've found a few treasures here, but more often I walk away with hardly anything. The store has a strange smell... septic? Not sure- it smells the same everytime. Still... it's a thrift store, so I don't expect it to be as nice as a new store.

I was at the Massillon Ohio store shopping today. Found a few really nice items. When I went to check out the girl at the register was extremely rude. She's the young girl with blue hair. When I said something to a girl I assume is her supervisor about her very bad attitude Megan said she was extremely special needs. I understand that Goodwill employs people with special needs and being a retail worker myself I understand staffing issues also. This happened May 12th 2024. It's Mother's day today. I watched this cashier be rude and huffie with three customers. My daughter and Myself.
I understand special needs and appreciate all people working retail.

Two things: The new 'discount' model was arrived at after "YEARS" of research at all levels of the organization....but NOT WITH THE CUSTOMERS! Serious misstep, as the customers are the ones doing the shopping. I'm not going to be forced to spend $30 to save five. If you only see two or three items you want that day, too bad for the customer?? Rethink this, and read the comments on all area Goodwill store for how poorly this new plan is regarded.
As for people 'hiding' items to get the former discount when those colors are half price - so what? Was Goodwill really losing so much money on this practice? If someone needs a half-price used item so badly, you should charitably let it go. Or, here's a trick - have staff peruse the store, keeping it tidy, and putting those items back where they belong. You're cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Now, something that you are doing well is playing the announcement about "no pets in the store". Amen to that. And for those whining that they 'can't be without their comfort animal' you people can stuff it. Literally. Get a stuffed animal for 'comfort'. Double bonus, you can take your stuffed animal on airplanes too.

Color of the week is gone. No point at shopping here. The higher ups are too money hungry for their own good. “The decision was hard to make” and they whine people would hide stuff because the staff fail to properly look for out of place things. The point of Thrift Stores are to help get things cheaper than at retail stores but that’s not happening.
Yet, they still sell half empty bottles of shampoo and things from the Bullseye section of Target that they couldn’t sell for more than what Target was originally selling them for.
This Goodwill has placed profit over people.
Also, the spend 30 save 5 deal is a joke if you’re spending 30 dollars at a thrift store you’re not thrifting right.

Prices are absolutely ridiculous! You get the clothes for free yet turn around and sell it for a high amount, I'd rather pay a few more dollars and get it brand new! The clothes have stains on them, broken buttons, animal hair all over, etc... The only time I could even afford to purchase anything is when I'd find things half off, now they replaced it with their so called discount, $5 of off $30 and so on, that's not a discount when the prices are insane! Do better!

so unorganized, not worth the drive. Worst goodwill I’ve ever been to honestly and I’ve been to so many. & the prices are just more horrible, I have never seen a article of clothing EVER at goodwill being over 10 dollars. I was so disappointed! Surprised I found the 3 items I did.

One of my favorite places to shop with my 92 year old grandma. Although some of the prices are a lil too high, considering most everything is donated, there is a lot of awesome stuff there and sometimes you can find amazing deals. Staff are also pretty awesome which makes the experience well worth it.

Idk how they justify charging the prices they do for DONATIONS they got for FREE. $10 for a used sweater?! I think not. Might as well go to kohls with a coupon and spend less to get new items.

I was in the store today with papers to allow my companian dog in with me becase it would be BAD for me with out her. The woman I talked to was rude to me and extreamly hesitant to let my dog in with me. She didn' really take time to read the paper either.
