I was so scared to bring my Igor to an exotic vet. I’ve heard so many horror stories of vets who say they’re exotic, but have no experience or any idea on what they’re talking about. Anyways my little guy had to have anesthesia in order to remove a very clogged duct/pore. They were able to squeeze him in on the same day after the initial examination. The Dr did an AMAZING job and explained everything on what he was going to do. I would trust him with all of my other exotic pets that I have. Thank you so much for all that you do :)

I went there to get my dog licensed for the state. Nice folks, they made it easy. Much better than going to the county and dealing with government employees.

Was able to squeeze me in same day when I noticed my boy Saul, guinea pig, wasn’t okay. Helped explain the process that we were gonna take for treatment, called everyday with updates, unfortunately Saul did not make it due to a seizure, no fault to them what so ever, they let me see him before the cremation services came and got him. I know Saul was in the best hands durning his finals moments with them. I have two other Guinea pigs I will definitely continue to bring back here. I would recommend anyone bringing their animals here.

TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!
If you've ever owned a ferret then you know what it's like trying to find a vet that is actually educated in ferrets and knows what they're talking about.
It's been over a month process but I am so glad to write this review and tell you how amazing this place is!
About a month ago my ferret (7 and a half years old) fell ill on a Saturday, I honestly didn't think she'd make it to Sunday but she did. I tried taking her to an emergency vet in which they knew nothing about ferrets (said they would call their "experts" on it) and they wanted an arm and a leg for not even being knowledgeable. To my surprise my ferret made it to Monday. I woke up at 730 in the morning and called every single vet with exotic experience I could find. Most told me that their exotic vet wouldn't be in until a couple days later and no one could get me in the same day.
That's when I finally called Misty Vistas and explained what was happening. Dr. Joey was obviously VERY well experienced and knew exactly what he was talking about. He even managed to get me in that same day before I had to go to work. I have no doubt in my mind that my pet ferret only survived because of him. He was able to get her in, diagnose her, and give her TWO medicines which that entire visit was CHEAPER than the emergency visit. What a literal angel!
He helped me nurse my ferret back to health, she put on weight and then he was able to give her an implant to improve the quality of her life and maybe help extend her time here on earth.
I will scream and shout at the top of my lungs to take your pets here!!! This place gives a touch of what life used to feel like before covid. It's also super cute that his son sells his art work there at the vet!
Attached are some pictures of my ferret before and after when she was sick. You can tell in the pictures when she's sick because well, she's still and barley moving lol but now she's alive and kickin like she's a young gal so it's pretty much hard to get an unblurred photo of her again
I will no doublty be taking my 9 pets to Misty Vistas from here on out!

Dr. Branstutter did 2 separate Mast Cell tumor surgeries on my senior dog. He was able to get clean margins. At the time I was told by another vet at a specialized hospital that my dog would probably not live more than 6 mo. Dr. Branstutter also prescribed a medicine regime that has kept any more potential tumors at bay. It is now 2 1/2 years later and my dog is doing well. Like the old saying goes, "The proof is in the pudding."

Fantastic service, incredibly quick to schedule, with a quiet office and incredibly kind/knowledgeable service! We brought our rats here and they were well taken care of.

I want to thank Misty vistas pet hospital for all that they do to keep my pets healthy (my puppy & four cockatiels) they go above & beyond to help in anyway they can. I appreciate everything they do. When I was very nervous dropping my puppy off to get spayed I thought I couldn’t do it but Misty Vistas said “yes, you can and it’ll be alright” they were 100% right, she was great! I even got an update as the day went on of my Yorkie surgery and how she handled it, etc. I 1000% recommend Misty vistas pet hospital. They care and treat their patients (animals) with care as if they were their own.

Dr. Branstutter got us in for an emergency as a new patient. He went above and beyond in his efforts to save our guinea pig Beebo, even though it was the day before Thanksgiving. He even took her home to care for her over the holiday. While she initially survived the surgery, the stress of her illness was just too much for her, and she didn't make it. He was compassionate, and even though things didn't turn out like we wanted, I'm glad we found Misty Vistas. Knowing everything that was done for her has helped ease some of the pain of losing her.

Dr. Branstutter is a very knowledgeable and caring vet. He spends lots of time with you and explains things thoroughly. He makes himself available if you need to call him for follow up questions. His fees are very reasonable compared to other vets, and I highly recommend him!
