Went shopping at the Marion Goodwill outlet store today (8/9/24).
The signs at your building say 10AM-6PM.
Online it says 10AM-6PM.
So why is it that at 5:40PM The employees in the store announce of the store is closed and everyone needs to check out????
If the store does in fact close at 6PM, Then why do your employees get a rush all the customers out of the store extremely early So they can all be gone by before 6 PM???
Not a very good or professional business practice……

My time shopping the outlet is done. The workers there are good folks. The problem is the decision making of the CEO. Today, I learned that the outlet is dispensing with carrying the amount of books previously offered. I was informed that a few books might be found in the general bins, but most are being transferred to the retail stores. I checked this out. Yes, books that I saw at the outlet a few days ago, can now be found on retail store shelves...at higher prices of course. But one thing is notable about this transfer. The books being added to the retail shelves are all recent titles in new-ish condition. Gone are the antique books...begging the question of where those end up. Are they being thrown away? Early on, I purchased an antique book at the outlet. It was worth $500. I did not sell it, but donated it to a museum which was happy to receive it. Old people die and leave libraries of important books. Their families donate them to Goodwill trusting that someone will receive the benefit of such valuable books through personal use or resale. At the outlet, many times it has been clear to me that a clergy person, lawyer, or doctor passed away...and their valuable old books were donated...in a trust that they wouldn't be abused or destroyed.

Went there for a manager's meeting. Checked out the Outlet Store. It was clean and not overly noisy, which was nice. I will be back to shop there soon!

It was like it was a lot of junk. Things missing in the games. Things seemed dirty. When announcing Things over head, you couldn't make out what the say. They have the microphone so close to their mouths.

The employees at this location are phenomenal! They are so friendly, respectful, and helpful. They do their very best to keep this location from turning into the Bryce Road location where the ruthless shoppers ruin the experience. A+ experience every time here, and I’m so thankful this Marion location opened. I have made so many friends here and hope to continue coming for years to come.

I cant handle shopping there. I would rather shop where it's more organized. Picked up some boxes to see what it was, and they were empty. Found a cute shoe I wanted, but the other was no where to be found.

Decent place, I would probably prefer going to an actual goodwill where everything has been sorted already but if you’re cool with digging through the unknown for buried treasures this place is for you. Would recommend wearing workmen’s gloves if you go through the piles of stuff just because you just don’t know what’s there. I give it 4 stars because pricing by the pound and the chances to find awesome items gives you endless possibilities and it’s goodwill the prices are always cheap.
