Cabin looked like the finish carpenter may have had cognitive issues? But it was comfortable and clean. Adding a two burner cooktop would make this a true "Deluxe" cabin in my opinion. If you're hungry AND it's raining your choice is limited to "go hungry". There is no protection for the outdoor grill and building a fire without the ability to flip the grill out of the way was not amusing. The people who work for Cardinal are awesome, no complaints there. Golf cart, and the facilities were pretty good. I might recommend better maintenance of the golf cart paths, some stone and a land plane would do wonders. The volume of standing water on the paths after a thunderstorm makes for a pretty poor experience.

I didn't camp out or use any of the cabins, but I did shoot at this place for Carry Optics Nationals and it is a huge and impressive place. I am amazed at the number of shooting activities that they support and I am looking forward to shooting at future matches for this establishment. The Location was quick and easy and you didn't have to drive out to BFE to get to it.

We drove an hour's drive to show up and we're not able to participate in shooting clays or practice trap. A huge tournament was proceeding. There were no flyers. There were no signs. There were no emails. You have to go through four links on their website to find out the tournament is even happening. Very displeased. Looked at us like we were the ones that made the mistake. Looks like black wing is for us now. Have been going to Cardinal for many years but no more too much unprofessionalism and now this...

The Campground is very spacious. Big rig friendlyThe customer service is average. although the website says they have WiFi they don't !!! it doesn't work at all. the website alsostated that the pool would be closed during our stay but it was indeed open. They do have a nice playground, jumping pad and basketball court for the kids and kid friendly activities planned each day (my grandkids liked the activities). But one of the days we did leave the Campground and went to the Columbus ZooThey don't have dump stations although a majority of their sites are water ? and electric only. The office personnel was very friendly and helpful although they don't have employees to show you to your site. If you want to visit the gun range this is the perfect Campground for you and it's also close to many attractions in the Columbus area I probably won't revisit this Campground but we did make the best of it while we were there.Nearby activities: Gun range on the Campground.Close to activities in Columbus, OhioSafety: Campground is very safe my grandkids walked all over the Campground with no problemNoteworthy details: No WiFi (doesn't work)(if this is important to you )

Once again, we arrived at our campsite and the grass was not mowed. However, the grass for the common ground and so many other empty sites were mowed. 99% of the 400 sites were not mowed and that is where the majority of the campers were this weekend. Even on Saturday when they were mowing campers had to ask for their sites to be mowed. To that is unacceptable for a campground to mow areas that are not being used yet not mow the sites that were reserved in advanced. The office was closed before 6pm on a Friday evening by 3pm on Saturday. We spoke with other campers that said this has happened before and because of this they will not be back again.I wish it was like it was 2 years ago when John and his wife was there along with Mel. These individuals actually cared about their campers and the grounds and it looked great, not so much anymore.

Can't really complain about this place. It has been here since I can remember. Stayed here I believe 2 times before I started working for the big Boss man. But in my opinion the only thing I'd recommend would be like a little arcade room or something for the kids to do besides swimming. During the shoots and stuff I'd do something like a hunting safety course or teach the younger kids outdoor stuff, like survival. Something to go along with the camping experience besides relaxing ?Playground: Nice little playground area by the office.

We camp in a lot of places (State parks, KOA's, etc...) and we have experienced various levels of quality in these campgrounds. We have camped here at the Cardinal center about 4 times in as many years, and each time we come, we are less impressed. It seems that maintaining the grounds, facilities and equipment seems low priority to the owners. My breaking point today, was the dog park. Aside from the broken/beat up water and power points at many of the camp sites, the lack of picnic tables and fire pits at every site, the strange rules about tents on most of their sites (which they blame on the local health department, but now I'm not so sure)... the dog park is a disaster. Many of us weekend warriors own dogs. We love our furry friends. If you are going to build a play area for our dogs, but then not maintain it, when you are collecting $50+ dollars per night and you have a year round flow of customers, to me there is no excuse. How much of your budget could it possibly take to fix the gates and the fence around your dog park? You are using a small, aging bungee cord to secure one of the gates...really? That's an invitation to escape for a dog that runs away without a leash! The other gates don't latch at all. There's a section with no top rail so it's flimsy at best. No respect for the safety of my dog? No respect from me for your campground. My apologies but we won't be back until things get cleaned up- especially the dog park.

Cardinal is a nice campground with a lot going for kids and parents. As an added bonus you can bring your firearms and have fun. Indoor and outdoor ranges.

We have been here many times (The Willards) but this visit has BY FAR been the best. Halloween here is awesome. The staff is all friendly , fun and helpful.Trick or treat ,candy bar Bingo ,karaoke, haunted house (So cool) , hayrides , popcorn and cider and all kinds of Halloween fun. This will be our Halloween camping spot from now on. Thanks Cardinal for going above and beyond for your patrons !

Was there this year and last year for our Motorcycle group state rally. The view is great we stayed in the cabins. The smell in the cabins was very strong of a musty smell both years here. I'm allergic to mold and mildew. This year was the only time I sneezed and was wheezing. The place itself is very nice. The community room is a nice sized for parties or meetings. Only bad thing if other campers come in from the pool go to the bathroom they have access to the room. We didn't have anything missing but was a concern.

Campsite was ok. Pretty small but had potable water. Automotive rim fire ring. It's noisy you hear 71 traffic. Bathrooms were nice. Fit my needs for the night. Was able to check in early which was awesome.
