Drive four hours and arrived at 9:00pm. I was told my room key and paper work would be on the door. It wasn’t. Tried to text and call with no answer. I had to find other accommodations at 9:00 on a Friday night. They did bother to attempt to respond until 10:00. I missed the call while I was trying to find other accommodations. They didn’t leave a message or try to text me. This is unacceptable customer service.

The location is not bad plenty around to do and eat. The community fire pits and the pool and volleyball are nice. Love that it's dog friendly most places are not and the fee for your pup is reasonable. $10 per night under 40 lbs. , and $20 per night over 40lbs. Much cheaper than boarding and safer too. My only complaint is the beds are so uncomfortable. And the one bedroom we had the paint was coming off the paneling. That should have been corrected when housekeeping saw it. The couch was more comfortable than the beds. But for what it's worth it is a great place to stay.

Just a great little place to stay. Two bedrooms; each with a bunk bed set and one twin. Ceiling fans in the bedrooms. We didn't use the top bunks, but one should be careful with kids and ceiling fans. ? Tiki bar was never open while we were there. Great for fishing outing. Get your daily max early, come back and enjoy the pool.?♂️?♀️

Do not stay here, ever. We have been staying in Marblehead for over 20 years and this place was a nightmare. The manager is belligerent, rude and threatened my husband verbally. He treats the guests as if they are nuisances. The actual owner resides in California and there is clearly no accountability for the expectations of customer service or kindness. The ads say this facility is a family resort. This place is the antithesis of a resort for families. There are nice employees that work for this employer, however, I am certain they will not stay long due to the manager’s behavior towards them. Lastly, if you do stay here, check your bill, because it is rarely correct and our group had numerous issues with incorrect billing.This is the first time I have had to write a review of this nature, however, there was no other place to share my concerns.

This was the most disgusting place I've ever stayed in....walls were warped, toaster was filthy, light shades stained, light bulbs left out of ceiling fan, glass cover on other ceiling fan was broken, sheets were dirty (dirt or crumbs???) other sheet was stained and thread bare, towels were small, rough and thin, spiders in the unit, base of floor lamp was rusted, furniture was falling apart, door jams were torn up, stove top looked like it was from the 1950's, very little in the kitchen and what was there I surly wouldn't have used, paint was coming off of the inside doors, walls were all marked up....just a horrible filthy place.

The place was clean, and quiet. They were putting in work at the pool. Not too pricey. The people were very nice and pretty much left us alone after check in. I would stay there again.

Trust me...stay anywhere else. This place is marginally acceptable for $100 a night but they raised their prices to $160 per night for weekends and it's a rip off. The cabins are disgusting! The first night there we smelled something nasty and looked around the room and found a dirty diaper under the bed. There were huge spiders and earwigs in the rooms, the carpet is filthy, there were covers missing on the outlets (which I thought was a safety issue), the blinds are old and broken, and there's no curtains on the windows. I refused to sit on the dirty sofa and chair or walk around without shoes.We used to stay at least once a year but our friends refuse to stay anymore because of the filth and because of the management. A husband and wife manage it and the lady is okay but the man is nasty. If you have a billing issue you can't get a person on the phone or catch them in the office. There are other places that are cleaner and more peaceful to stay at.

book ahead if you need specific dates for walleye fishing. We found the cottage number 23 that we were in was fairly modern and in great shape. It had a bedroom with a double bed and another bedroom with five single beds. We rented a boat slip so we just had to walk down to the water and take off when we were ready in the morning. It's about a 10 mi ride by water out to Kelly's Island where everyone was fishing. everyone was fishing on the North point of the island by the green buoy. in 3 days we caught 42 keepers. had a great time. The water can be choppy.

We had a great time. Our family used four cottages, very reasonably priced. Attentive owners. Clean. Nice pool area. Linens provided. Cleaning service. Plenty of green space, nice fire pits, grills, covered gathering area.Rooms: Quaint. Some cottages are updated. Very basic kitchen amenities. Pets permitted in some cottages.Nearby activities: Lots of nearby activities. Water parks, state park/beach, fishing/boating, on site docks, Lake Erie islands, wineries, breweries.Noteworthy details: Kitchen could be much better equipped. No large knives, few serving utensils, broom, dish scrubber. NO oven.Entrance is on the right, just past Margaretta Ave.

Stay away ! Steve threatened to put me in the hospital ! Rude , drinking iduring business hrs ! Once they have your $, they try to make you leave ! Never again !

Little Ted should not be in the hospitality business. He should be a night watchman at a bank or some other job which does not require him to interact with people. He is a fish N**** He watches his patrons clean their fish on closed circuit TV for the slightest infraction of his rules. One of our group pulled his boat and trailer to the side of Ted's narrow drive to allow another car to pass by. There was no gravel shoulder at the side of the drive and our friend inadvertently ran over a small section of grass. When we returned Ted harassed the guest and demanded that the guest personally rake the affected area. "Rake or Leave" were his words. We stayed, but we won't be coming back.

Hot water heater turned down so low you don’t get one shower with hot water, Witnessed Steve with management scream at some grown adults at the fish cleaning station because they didn’t tie the fish disposal bag all the way closed before throwing it in the dumpster. Numerous tenants were commenting how unprofessional Steve is, I had no contact with him until two days later when he decided to come yell at everyone in our two conjoined cabins because we didn’t have a parking permit in our truck. I explained I was never issued on which he responded yes I was, I again told him I didn’t receive one and he yelled at everyone and walked away saying to get our permits in our trucks or he will tow them away. They were parked right in front of our cabin so everyone with common sense knows where the vehicle belongs. Common theme among all the guest there is not to go back cause Steve is that much of a angry person. It’s to bad they allow Steve to act like that as if you start reading reviews this is a normal everyday function for him. Won’t be back.

Had a good time! It was very spacious and didn't have any problems with the owner. It was a little dirty but we survived. We would definitely come back!
