Update: Gate is still broken three weeks later. We’re outta here. Out of frustration from being unable to contact anyone (the very nice people in the office don’t know who I could contact), I decided to withhold payment for a few days. Day 7 they put a lock on my travel trailer. Yep. We’re done with this aggravation. When we drive several to get home late at night, the last thing we want to worry about is if the gate is going to open. This facility recently changed ownership. We have stored our travel trailer there for about two years. Previous to the ownership change, we were very happy with the facility and the customer service. With the new ownership came a $20 increase in our rental fee. Okay. Two months ago we returned from a trip after hours to find the gate not working. It was partially open, leaving the faculty unsecured. Last Friday, we returned from another trip to find the gate broken again. Backing out onto the busy road would have been nearly impossible. My husband held one side open while I drove our rig through. Needless to say, it created a risk to our vehicles and our personal safety. The broken gate also leaves every customer’s property exposed. When I complained, I was told the gate has been broken for two weeks. We won’t be using this facility for much longer and I can’t recommend it to anyone else. While the staff is great, the ownership doesn’t seem to care about its customers.

The gate is never closed anymore making anyone available to steal our belongings. And it's almost impossible to pay your bill online.

Have had a corner bin since May. Moved stuff in, large gap under the door and very difficult to lock. When go to manager for assistance, first response is that my expectations are too high. Even the door that had the gap with tree fuzz flying in and easy rodent access, she didn't feel was a problem. Finally Manager Sally worked on it. It took a few tries but after getting creative, the gap is closed and the hasp repaired. I was told, previous renter had no problem with it so, it shouldn't have been a problem. Manager ask me to write a review to offset negative reviews so I did first time wording it carefully and gave 4 stars, thinking I would not have another problem.
Revised today. Saturday in February, tried to get into bin after regular business hours. . Entry gate opened first try. Snow was blocking door and door frozen shut so no access to bin. The key pad to exit was not working correctly and took many tries to get gate open. Starting to panic and ready to call 911. Finally gate opened. Gates are open when manager is there so no key pad necessary. When no manager, only option if the key pad won't work is to push "Call the manager" button that rings inside...where there is no manager. Scary to think of being locked in from Saturday till Monday morning.
Also Manager parks in the one handicapped spot which with a husband that was handicapped, was an irritation. Her response was only place to park.
Experience in Columbus for multiple years with Mini-depot Storage was great. Yes, I will be moving out by end of February.

1) this place is extremely bad! the people are rude X-10, they tell you you can make payments after about 5 days after the 1st of the mount. that's a lie. they wont charge you but they will call you 3 times a day every day untell you pay. and the messages they leave if you don't answer the phone are borderline harassment. we rented a small unite and then they feed us for dumb's crap. and then up'd the "rent" of the unit. Even in the contract we singed it states they would not do this. (o and you have to sing a contract for a year to have this unit as well as give a month notice of leaving and pay a month your not even going to be using the unit for no reason what so ever then they want your money as well as making sure its spotless or they will charger you for cleaning it)
2) the rood to the unit is a death trap if you need to get in the unit in snow. are brand new car slid down the slop and came close to hitting the office. there response to this "all well"
3) the bugs. we had the unit for 1 year. and in that time bugs infested all of are stuff. we told the office there response "not are problem" we had to throw out alot of are stuff. due to bug infestation. if you wish to keep anything. do not go with this place. you are better off ANYWHERE other thin this place!!!

I was in the hospital for six months and was forced to give up my apartment. My mother got 2 units to store my things. My mother & I have never had any problems with the staff or the facility. They have been nothing but kind and courteous. I would recommend this facility to anyone!

I am sad to say that I would not recommend anyone to go with Mansfield's Mini Storage. My grandmother passed away in the late 90's and my father at the time got a storage unit. He had the storage unit for years until his brother passed away. He then got a larger unit and stored his mother and brothers items. Fast forward to 2010 my father passed away. I took over his unit and have been paying it since.
I had my first problem a few months after I took over. I would call to make a payment and the woman who would answer would be rude. At first I thought perhaps she is having a bad day. After a few times I ask her to stop speaking to me that way. She was oblivious at what she was doing.
I had to explain to her what I meant. That was the first strike, but everyone deserves a chance to improve. Fast forward to 2013. I called a few weeks ago to make a payment after working third shift. I called about five times and go no answer, this was on a Friday. I then got a call from the same female I spoke about previously. She says "You need to make your payment." I said " I tried to call you yesterday to make my payment but go no answer." She says "NO YOU DID NOT WE HAVE CALLER ID." She then hung up on me. I called right back and she answers on the first ring and says "I just checked the caller ID and you only called once."
I said to her.... I have no times for games I have always paid on time. My father has had a unit with you for over 15 YEARS! I just would like to pay my balance. She said " you can make online payment if you don't like me calling you. I said "its not that you called me but your attitude!" Her response was "Are you going to pay."
I did pay my balance and will continue to pay until I move in my first home in Nov. However, I will say this she needs to grow up and become more professional!
I told her that I was going to write a review and call corporate and she said "HA big deal."
