“When my Mom passed away recently in Mansfield, Snyder Funeral Home was recommended to me by the hospice staff. I found their directors and staff to be kind and compassionate from my very first contact with them. My Mom made the arrangements for my Father's funeral in 1989, so I was only somewhat aware what arrangements needed to be made. When I met with Funeral director, Eric Young, he was incredibly sensitive and patient as he collected details about my Mom's life and I made decisions about the service, casket, vault, etc. Eric had phoned me a few days earlier and urged me to look at Snyder's website where the various options were described, along with the cost. So we went over everything together and all was clear and straightforward. Eric wrote a wonderful obituary and posted it, which was so helpful - it's not something I could have wrapped my mind around at the time. He also contacted Social Security and provided me with certified copies of her death certificate to help settle her affairs and arranged for the flowers I selected. Celebrant, Jerry Wilson, came to my house to discuss my Mom's eulogy. At the funeral home, everything was staged perfectly. The flowers were beautiful and my Mom looked very peaceful. At the gravesite service, Jerry gave a sweet and touching eulogy. Overall, I could not have asked for a more perfect and fitting closure to my Mom's life. I have a sense of how a funeral should unfold since my uncle owned a funeral home in Marion where I attended quite a few family funerals growing up. I saw the same level of dedication and consummate professionalism in Snyder's funeral directors and staff. I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
