Actual liars. They will say they sent a tech and you "must have missed them," but I've stayed home to see them. This has happened five or six times, to the point we stopped even calling them a couple years back. Bad customer support would be bad enough even if the service wasn't so spotty that I have to use my phone data for nearly everything. So glad that satellite internet is becoming reasonably available in my area, because this company fully relies on their being the only option, they will do nothing to help you unless they can sell you something.

Buyer beware! This is a horrible company! I've been trying to get a technician to setup my service correctly for over two years. They mailed my router to me and expected me to set everything up.I finally was able to make an appointment and their technician never showed up. I waited from 8am to 5pm,a no show,not even a courtesy phone call to let me know he couldn't keep the appointment. When I looked up my service ticket number,it reads "complete". I will be seeking legal counsel for this runaround.Not only have they lied to me,this is abuse,elder abuse at that !!!

Continued to charge me after I had disconnected services. Multiple hours on the phone with mean spirited, mocking representatives who either tell me they won't cancel my service or that it is already cancelled. Receiving bill month after month when I no longer even live in a country they provide services for. I'm about to start disputing the charges through my bank...

Can you get anything right? My grandpa's phone has been crackling and not sounding right for weeks. Came out yesterday and didn't even touch his phone . And never even spoke to him. This is after ladt week they had an appt and CenturyLink never even bothered to call or text to say his appt had been moved to this past Tuesday. Take in mind , he is using up his vacation time as he works fulltime. I am beyond frustrated.

CenturyLink is awful, go without internet before them. Once they get your money, you will go without internet and be broke. No lie..Update July 25th, 2022. Still No service from CenturyLink since June 13th, 2022. Morrow County, Marion County line. State route 746 area.

The absolute worst possible customer service. On hold on and off for 5 hours and then transferred to literally 9 different people bc no one wanted to deal with the problem. Ended up just canceling my service bc every single person just kept transferring and transferring calls back and forth like they thought it was funny. Absolutely ridiculous and such a joke. The WORST customer service ever.

Our Internet has been out since a storm came through our area Thursday night.No communication from CenturylinkI sent an email to Lumen (Centurylink) customer advocacy since Centurylink customer service is useless.Never do business with this company.I have heard that putting a review on Twitter is helpful. I will be doing that also.

Worst customer service, waiting 5 days for repair on DSL for a business account is unacceptable. Speaking to actual agent is a 30 min process going thru phone prompts.

If I could give negative stars I would. This is a technological world and not providing proper support in getting service restored is unacceptable. Looking in to getting a provider that can actually provide good customer service. If I pay over $100 a month, I expect exceptional service. Customer service has hung up on me multiple times when I have asked for a manager and then I'm told they don't have one and/or they are "busy" on calls. Terrible!

Terrible customer service. When you call they transfer you, just when you think you’re getting help they disconnect. Or they continue to lie to you about when a tech will be out. And do not even get me started on chat support. Lazy lazy people

I am a disabled vet who just relocated to Northeast TN. I have only 1 choice for a landline phone, CenturyLink. I placed order on 11/3 and still have not phone. 1st technician showed up and could not do job because it was a new house. I told them that it was a new home when scheduled. Engineer had to come out and run the phone line to the pole 20 ft from my house. Keep calling Century Link and even emailing Customer Advocacy team which assigned me a Case Manager. Was told that my situation would be addressed immediately, that was 11/30. I talked to customer service many times had many installs cancelled by Century link. They say it is now scheduled for 12/30/21 which is unacceptable. I was told that this date can not be changed, because they can not find notes on the phone line being ran to pole. I sent a picture of line on pole and was told that doesn't prove the line or work is complete. Yeah, the work is not complete, my phone isn't installed. I feel they are taking advantage of rural people that can only use their service. I need this landline for VA appointments which I have to make different arrangements for over a month now, which is extremely difficult for me right now, recovering from lung surgery. Horrible customer service and not much better customer advocacy team.

Very poor customer service! Almost impossible to get in touch with anyone to get information on returning equipment (goes to an automated system). Still receiving invoices after getting email confirmation the account was closed out 3 months ago.

Complete garbage. They have a monopoly on the area I'm in so they have no reason to upgrade their lines. They want $50 a month for 10mbs speeds. That is unacceptable in the year 2021.

I wouldnt even give this company a 1 star rating because for the past 2 months my internet and wifi has been terrible. Ive called plenty of times to get it fixed and yet all they do is run a speed test, wont send a technician out to check it out.. This company fails for internet, plenty of my friends have the same issue.. Corporate is probably the same way, sad i can barely watch tv, wife can barely do school work or get on my xbox because thats how slow this wifi is.. they asked me to upgrade my plan and why would i pay more for wifi i can barely use
