“Years ago, I bought my family a Yamaha entry-level electric keyboard. My 7-year-old daughter’s joy was unforgettable: “I didn’t even know I wanted this so much!” We played it so much that we quickly outgrew it. I explored getting an acoustic piano but faced three challenges: 1) We needed a real piano, 2) Free pianos were everywhere, but I knew I couldn't detect a huge problem, and 3) Good pianos cost as much as a reliable used car.
Frustrated, I sidelined my love for piano. The basic keyboard was teaching us bad habits, and my annual searches only led to electronic pianos I could afford I didn’t want or costly acoustic ones. Free or cheap pianos risked hidden issues I couldn’t spot.
One day, in a brief moment at work where nothing was going on, I explained my dilemma to Grok, 'Twitter's' AI. It pointed me to Henderson Music, where I found a fantastic Yamaha M-500 acoustic piano. I bought it sight unseen, and now, three months later, my family plays it multiple times a day, exploring new musical interests and performing for each other.
