We had a blast floating down the river with our family. We are planning another trip next year. Not sure why it took so long to discover this place. We took rope to tie our tubes together and also purchased a floating cooler to hold our beverages. Make sure to pack snacks!! Great time!

Lots of options here - we had a lot of fun planning mini golf on their adventure courses and driving the go carts. We thought we’d do the go carts for the children but the adults ended up enjoying it as much as they did! We’ve made use of their canoe livery several times and always enjoyed it. They are a bit pricey though- easy to leave a lot more money there than we were planning!

Canoeing down the Mohican River was so much fun! The scenery was beautiful. It's 15 miles and takes a couple of hours from start to finish. Most places in the river aren't deep. You can stand up in the water. That may be a comfort for those reluctant. The canoes were sturdy. Staff were helpful and pleasant. I can't wait to come back!

This place was well worth the 2 hour drive! We had some issues getting attractions situated. For example, the scheduling is laid out on the website in a confusing way so we didn't know the go-carts were closed and the ropes course was appointment only. They made it work though and got us squeezed in. The (little) staff they had there were super nice and personable. Just don't expect the kid at the counter to answer the phone though. He was just watching it ring off the hook...LOL!

We went one day and did the beginner and intermediate ropes course and went back the next day and did the kayak trip which was great as well.

We took our nephew kayaking one day and did the high ropes course on another. The staff are great, and we were especially grateful for the high ropes staff—they were very patient and supportive when we did the red course, which was not at all easy. The girl with the long blondish curly hair was a huge help when I lost a shoe. The ropes courses are a lot more intense than they look from the ground, but they are fun.

The way the river run is now is much better. You don't run into shallows like it was before. I will say that the lines to pay as well as get on the bus was ridiculously long.I really wish they could let you register online and prepay as to expedite everything.

We drove by this place on our way to a cabin and decided to stop by and give it a try. We are so glad we did! My husband and I, who are not canoers, did the 7 mile canoe trip and adored it!! We showed up around 9 or 9:30 in the morning and there was no one on the water with us, so very peaceful. Afterwards, we did go-karts and mini-golf. The price for all you get to do is amazing and such a great deal. This was a highlight of our entire vacation! The scenery is beautiful on the river and the mini-golf courses might be the best we’ve ever seen.

We were on a premium pull-thru full hookup site. The layout was odd; 6 sites were in a circle and all shared one tiny driveway to pull out The following day a man pulled in. The campground host, had the man pull forward as far as he could go leaving his truck in the road. I don't know if the host thought the man would put the truck behind his trailer or what. That didn't happen. After a day, we complained. Nothing was done. That night another trailer pulled in. He, too, left his suv sitting on the small lane. The next day my hubby took photos to the office to show the staff. That evening a nice woman came out to check, but both vehicles were gone at the moment. She said she would return. Two days later, both vehicles were still blocking the road. We and our daughter was ready to leave. It took us plus two helpers to help guide as we backed up our class A while avoiding trees, vehicles scattered everywhere, and children . As we pulled around the circle, I told the guy with the suv had had to move his car so our daughter could get her rv out. He gave me a snotty look. When asked if he knew he was on a shared driveway, he said, "yeah, so what?" I stopped and complained to the campground host. It was the same guy who guided the trailer in the first day. He was not pleasant. At this point I was angry. I called the office and asked to talk to the owner. I was given the manager. I told her I wanted to talk to the owner because, under this manager's watch, the problem we reported was left unaddressed for 5 days. She said, "you either talk to me, or you talk to no one." I will NOT be returning to Mohican Adventures again! I did NOT get what I reserved. I did NOT get assistance from the campground, and I told her that, while I can't do anything about it now, I can let others know that this park cares about stuffing everyone in and NOT offering any kind of service. The only thing this park taught those who don't follow the rules is that it's quite okay to do so.

If the park allowed pets it could have been better. Why is there a dog on you webpage?

While the kayak trip was super fun, it was also overrun with tons of people partying hard. They definitely oversell the trips, to the point where you’ll have groups of drunk people smashing into you for seven miles straight. This is not for “outdoorsy” people who want to appreciate nature. I would not take children along, it’s not a family friendly environment. It was honestly embarrassing to witness some of the behaviors I saw.The mini golf on the other hand was great!

Anyone who is considering going canoeing or rafting right now !! I love mohican, and it’s usually one of my favorite places to go but right now theyre renovating & due to that its making you take a different route on the water & it is extremely unbearably long, it literally had us out on the river for eight whole hours yesterday! It literally felt never ending and we got caught in a rain storm. Getting rained on for almost 2 hours because it was that long. We went on the water around 11 & finally made it back at 8pm .. It’s ridiculous and they should tell you that ahead of time that it’s going to be HOURS longer than it normally is. We really thought we were never going to get home. We literally passed at least 10 different groups who asked us if we knew how much longer that it was going to be and that it was ridiculous. So many people were complaining about it on the water.

It was so much fun. The only complaint I would have is that there are no markers for how far you have left or when you have gotten halfway. Also there were a lot of people granted it was the weekend but they were not going anywhere, taking up half the river to the point you could barely get around them, and you could they were high/drunk.I normally don't have a problem with this but when you have people actually trying to enjoy quality time with family and you have to maneuver your way through people who aren't moving its really frustrating. My mom was actually surrounded by some of these people and she was behind my brother and I and she couldn't see us and was getting aggravated because she was trying enjoy time with her kids and keep an eye on us but these people were making more difficult than it needed to be

Tubing was a good time but it definitely wasn’t 2-3 hours long unless you pull off along the way. They need to get out there and remove logs/branches out of the water. Also if you have little ones I recommend bringing your own life vests because though it says they have them when asked they didn’t and we went early in the morning. Will go again but will be better prepared next time.

July 2023 by Stardust86
Just returned from a week long stay middle of July. We stayed in a rustic “Blue Gill Camber Cabin” – the A-frame ones around the little pond, ours was KK13 on the map. Had a lovely stay, with only a few minor complaints. We have done rustic camping-type cabins in several states, in many different parks. These sites are great. The AC is welcome in the Summer months – and honestly this is the first camper-type cabin I’ve seen with AC! - the cabin also has a charcoal grill on the porch. I was a bit skeptical of how close they are to the pond edge….it’s more on the little pond than I had guessed from the map online & it seemed for sure we would be swarmed with mosquitos because of that – but I literally walked away after a week stay with only one single bite (they must spray for them). And listening to the frogs was actually a nice perk. For the rate being only slightly higher than the tent sites – I would highly recommend the camper cabins. Lots of space, slept 4 adults and two small children very comfortably. The kiddos loved climbing up the loft ladder too. As far as the campground itself goes, I felt the bathroom facilities were very conveniently located. There is a row of three little bathrooms – they feel like outhouses with electric and plumbing – on one side of the pond, convenient to the big playground and large picnic shelter too. Easy walk from any of the Blue Gill cabins, even in the middle of the night. Then the shower house (same as the pool house) is just a little farther walk up the hill. The camp store is also in walking distance. We checked in on a Sat and for most of our stay everything – bathrooms and showers – felt quite clean and well taken care of. Unfortunately, on the following weekend, things started to get a little unsanitary. The park got busy on Thursday night, and was packed Fri & Sat. During those days the bathrooms did not seem anywhere near as well kept up (overflowing garbage, dirty toilets) – and the showers were grimy. I believe it just got busy and staff couldn’t quite keep up but it made me think they maybe need to change their cleaning schedule on weekends… Also noted that the campground itself seemed to become a party spot as of Friday night. Lots of loud music, lit up lights around peoples cabins, lots of drinking. Felt like during the week we really had a family camping atmosphere, but that changed drastically for Fri & Sat. Thankfully the cabins are insulated enough that once we closed the door, the noise was not much of a bother. We only did the pool during the week. It’s very nice that it’s indoors, nice little hot tub too (though only fits 5 at a time). We saw it fill up a few times, so I could see that maybe the pool gets too busy on weekends, but can’t say for sure as we only swam during the week. The camp store is well stocked – has almost anything you could have forgotten equipment-wise. Cute souvenir shirts too. I do wish they sold cold drinks and snacks, that would be a really nice addition. The playground behind the camp store is really nice and brightly colored – the kiddos with us spent some time there every day of our week-long trip. There seemed to be plenty of extra parking space, even on the busy Fri-Sat. And in fact, the website says they only allow 2 cars on the cabin sites, and we noticed for our full stay nobody said a thing about that we had 3 at our cabin. I feel like the website sounds a lot stricter than the campground actually is or than they actually enforce, which is nice. As far as the activities offered by the park – we only did the go-carting. My kiddo had fun, but the price for 5 mins didn’t quite seem worth it to me.
