Lowe's really is a joke. Even though it's closer to my house I go to home depot 9 out of 10 times. The last few times I stopped in there was literally no one on the floor to help. I tried pushing the "assistance needed" buttoned and I left after 15 minutes of no one showing up. I told the service desk on the way out they can cancel the help needed. Today 5/13 I stopped in to find a basic plumbing shut off valve. 1/2" compression ball valve. After looking around for 15 minutes I left for Home Depot. Leaving the store there was plenty of Lowe's people in vests BS's in groups at the cabinets and lawn & garden asile. If a person had a heart attack in the plumbing section they might find you at closing, might. Home Depot had exactly what's I needed, easy to find and people actually working in plumbing if needed. I picked some other supplies like 3/8" copper coil and compression fitting. Looked at pricing and Home Depot was less for in stock items. The Lorain Lowe's keeps getting worse. When you have a plumbing problem where you have to shut off your house main you don't have time to stand around or look for an employee.

Lowe's has done a great job with check out cleaning of the register area. No longer needing to touch the pin pad. Would like to see touch less option and Apple Pay option added for pure touch less check out. The pros know their stuff and the managers are very helpful.

I placed an online order for curbside pickup for one item. After receiving the email that my order was ready I went to the designated area for the pickup, called the phone number and extension posted and NO ONE ANSWERED. I called 5 times, no answer. Meanwhile, my husband ran into the store to grab a couple things and was back out to the car before I could get anyone to answer the phone. When the associate finally answered, she was rude and disruptive. She asked for my order #, which I gave her and she continued to read back the wrong number to me. She then proceeds to be very nasty to me as if I was giving her the wrong number. I will never use this service again, or shop at this location. Avon and Elyria will get my business from now on. Also, I have searched their entire website and could not locate anywhere to leave a review, go figure!

We LOVE Lowes in Amherst Ohio! Over the past several years we have purchased and had them install exterior doors with and without side lights, screen doors and garage door. Dave in the mill dept. is very knowledgeable and helpful! We have purchased a washer, dishwasher, fridge and range and are very happy with the service and delivery. However, we bought tile last year and hired Lowes to do the back splash in our kitchen. They subcontracted it out and the company did a horrible job! The subcontractor even installed broken tiles and the spacing was off. Lowes did stand behind the work and the subcontractor sent "2of their best guys". The job was worst than before. Not only were the grout lines different widths but many places were NOT GROUTED AT ALL! Today I am having a new countertop put in and will have to replace the tiles. I will not go with Lowes. The company replacing the countertop stated that the tiles have so much mastic that they are having a hard time removing the lower row of tiles because the dry wall is coming off. Do not use Lowes if they are using an out of town subcontractor.

I have been a loyal customer for several years to this store. I've been so loyal to the point most of the cashiers know my wife and I on a first name basis. Unfortunately, that now appears to mean nothing to them. I recently offered them the opportunity to earn my business to buy an electric charging station for my vehicle. Home Depot and Amazon have the charger for about $200 cheaper, and they can ship it to me weeks sooner than Lowe's. Additionally, I have a Lowe's credit card, Home Depot Card, and Amazon Credit card. The Lowe's credit card has the least offered financing terms. I asked for the price to be beat for this product since their competition has both lower prices and better financing terms. Therefore, there is no benefit to ordering from Lowe's at all. I was told they would match the price of the competitors but would not beat it. When I asked why should I retain my business with them on this product when they are offering no advantage to ordering from them; their financing terms are less and they have a longer time to ship it to me; they stated there was nothing else they could do and if that meant losing my business then their sorry. This is extremely disappointing to learn my loyalty means nothing to them after the thousands of dollars I have spent in their store. It's unfortunate that they don't value their loyal customers.

Typical Lowe's store. It has tons of choices and so far i've had no trouble there. Employees have been helpful. No complaints.

We ordered a fence last year. Took about a month to get pieces in. It was installed in October. A panel fell within a week or so. They put the piece back up. Had huge gaps between pieces. Was told that was needed for expansion. We noticed the post that fell was cracked. In may we called and they said they would order new pieces. It took till the middle of june for pieces. Installer came out and instead of replacing he glued together. He glued the gate together (it wouldn't close because of how he installed it so since October it slammed open and shut) another piece fell again the other day. We spent almost 5 grand for the worst installation and fence. We will see how long it takes this time for parts!!!

The highs of Lowes... THE UP-SIDE: The girly and I shop here often. The staff is friendly and helpful, and have had plenty of good suggestions - as opposed to annoying, obvious banter heard so often in other stores. With their help, we've purchased an infrared grill (nice!), a fire pit with little benches (more nice!), and all the lumber and supplies I needed to make four raised garden boxes (nicest yet!) THE DOWN-SIDE: Having grown up with a dad who made a lot of stuff from wood, I find myself getting drawn to the lumber area - where I go into a sawdust-smell-induced haze, wandering around for a long time. THE SUM-IT-UP: Great place to shop with helpful staff. ...and that sawdust smell to ease your worried mind!
