I went in today to get my wedding band resized. The sales lady immediately asked if the ring was purchased from Kay Jewelers, I let her know that it was purchased in another state where my husband had been stationed. It seemed like the fact I didn’t buy the ring from them made a negative difference. When she found out the main stone was moissanite she said they would not resize the ring. I questioned her about it she said the store policy is that they won’t work on moissanite rings because heat can damage it. This all sounded pretty ludicrous to me as the store sells lab grown stones so there shouldn’t have been any problem with my ring. I went home and researched moissanite, on the Mohs hardness scale a diamond is a 10 and a moissanite is a 9.25. Other stones are much lower on the Mohs scale but Kay Jewelers will work on those. If they don’t want to work on jewelry that they didn’t sell, then just be honest about it. The sales lady made me feel like my ring was beneath their standards and that they didn’t want my business. I have always been unimpressed with this chain store but since we were new to the area this was the only jeweler I knew of. Today’s experience has just reinforced my negative perception of this business. Please consider giving your business to independently owned stores who actually care about your and your needs.

The customer service was great. She showed me a lot of nice pieces that were in my price range and in my quality range. I had an excellent experience here at Kay jewelers. I suggest asking for Ariana!!

The ladies in this location are very friendly and knowledgeable. I've had nothing but exceptional service and was told to bring in my engagement ring and wedding band early because it was a little slow to get serviced and they were done actually ahead of expected date. I will keep going back to this location

Went to Kay jewelers the day after Valentine’s Day to get a few things walked in no one greeted us. It was three women working in store and two other customers being helped. We waited 30 minutes and still no one helped us until we finally got up and decided to leave. Won’t be returning and I’ve gotten plenty of gifts from this company before.

Went to pick up my necklace. Arrived 5 min before store was scheduled to close and door was already locked. Associates just looked at me from inside. Never had an issue before this.

Hubby and I went to get our rings inspected/ jewelery cleaned. Heather greeted us with great customer service today. She merged our profiles with multiple pieces of jewelry (no one has ever offered to do that), also archiving a couple pieces that I no longer have. We even shared some nice places to eat. Very pleased with our visit today!
