“Carpenter's, while looking like a small gas station on the outside, is the best place in town to get deli meats and cheeses, along with also being the best butcher shop in town.”

“Had a list of things I needed and for the most part I was able to find most of the items. I asked an associate for help to find a few things I couldn't find and he was nice very friendly and took me to find what I needed. I had an issue when I was cashing out, and the person that was running the self check out was very patient with me and extremely helpful. I finally was able to get cashed out. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Michigan in or around this store”
“I recently purchased deli sandwich trays, fruit trays and carrot and celery trays for an outdoor event on a very hot day for 100 people. I was really impressed with the food--the fruit trays were packed full and the fruit was high quality and beautifully presented. The sandwiches were a nice assortment of different breads and pairings of deli meat and cheeses and were lovely and delicious. I had called to ask if they could package the sandwiches to accommodate my cooler space because we were having our event in a location without refrigeration. The person I spoke with in the deli could not have been more helpful. Everything was ready on time for the pick up of our large order. I was impressed with the food and the service!”
“If you’re not expecting a refined place but going there only for soft serve ice cream, they have good variety and taste. And cheaper than their ice cream competitor nearby. The espresso flavor cone is delicious.
Definitely a rustic but refreshing cone stop if you’re near Hocking Hills State Park.
This place is back woods. It’s not a problem with me but know that their public restroom is a port-a-john. It’s a nice favor for the hundreds of tourists passing daily, but if you need a sink or water look elsewhere.
Not 5 stars to me due to the abundance of alcoholic drinks. This part is not child friendly.”

“Grandma Faye’s was a lovely surprise. I’m a city girl and was apprehensive to stop in for a bite after a long day of hiking. The store is a kitchen sink and has everything you can think of, from gorgeous dream catchers, to blankets, beer, wine, deli, and the fries and onion rings are delicious. No pics, food inhaled immediately upon receipt.”
