To be honest, I don’t understand where all of these negative comments are coming from. I got to request a specific vehicle I wanted, took it clear to the Smokey mountains and back without a single problem. Got my deposit back when they said I would too. Polite, fast, cheap, and most importantly reliable!

To start off you call them and they never answer. Secondly they’re extremely rude. Not just on the phone but in person as well. They were decently priced, so we decided to try it. We were only showed the outside of the vehicle and they never explained anything on the inside like typical rental places. We were on our way to Chicago and finally got on 30. We couldn’t figure out how to use cruise. Tried to look for a manual in the car. They didn’t have it. Went online and it looked like it didn’t have the option. I called the guy and asked and he said “if it doesn’t have it on the steering wheel it doesn’t have it. If you wanted cruise you’d have to let us know that.” I told him that it’s a 2020 car, I figured it was standard. He said “Next time you can ask for one with cruise and we will try to accommodate that.” I’d rather spend more money and get a better quality vehicle and customer service.

I have rented here more than 30 times in the past 5 years. As a fast break member, I've found they always have a car ready to go in a minute, car is always in good condition, and drop off is quick too. Sometimes it takes longer than I'd like for a shuttle to show up at the airport. Good rates.

To start with Ive rented from them before when they did service for me and everything was fine. This time I was going to strictly rent a car because mine is down in my mechanic shop. The website in the fine print states you have to be 21, valid license, credit card, transferrable insurance. Ok check, Im good to go right? Wrong. The woman was rude and diamissive and just kept pointing to a list on the counter of a "new policy" that "he" meaning Tom Ahl just put in place because they had trouble finding some cars. This new policy requires proof of income, 3 referrences with phone numbers, AND 2 utility bills in your name that show they were paid. None of my utilities are in my name theyre included in my rent. Not only should this be updated on their website, but they've also lost not only a rental customer but a potential car sale as I planned on going there to trade my car in. Meanwhile Im in the process of renting from a national rental company with none of the hoops to jump through. Do better Tom Ahl, not everyone has utilities in their name, and not only that, repeat customers who have already proved themselves arent going to do business here anymore.

Had to put my vehicle into the body shop at tom ahl and was told by geico that they can get me into the rental company since it is all in the same building and we agreed. The lady seemed very bothered when i asked a simple question as to why they needed a credit or debit card on file since geico is covering. She said for damages and i gave her credit card. The car she gave me was a 2018 chevy cruze and within a block i noticed it had a bad wheel bearing. I brought it back to tom ahl and they tried to call her which she didnt answee. When they got a hold of her she said let her pull a few strings and get me another vehicle. When she came back here to give me my other car she rudely took my original agreement and refiled with the new car. At this time i called and asked my insurance agency if i can get a bigger vehicle than a compact since the vehicle in the shop is an suv. And they said ask them for a bigger vehicle and if they dont have one they will go through enterprise. Once i seen it was another cruze i asked her and she told me no...not today they dont...when i told herthat geico is going to go with enterprise for a bigger car she rudely said well go in there and have a seat...her demeanor and body language was very unprofessional...
