I purchased a pork shoulder on July 25, 2024. It had an expiration date of July 19, 2024. It smelled HORRIBLE. On the same day, I purchased gluten-free beef jerky that had an expiration date of January 2024. Make sure you are checking expiration dates.

This MEIJER has been recently updated and looks very clean and inviting. It is much better than the sawmill location and I prefer it over that one. They also have self checkout with no item limit which I appreciate!

In general this store is fine. However, they've been renovating for about 3 months and the whole place smells like old cat pee and paint. Whole sections are closed and draped in plastic for painting. I can't believe all those VOCs and paint chemicals aren't getting into the produce and other food that is sitting out. It's also hard to find things, or what you want might be in a section that's closed. It's a nightmare, if avoid right now honestly. I think the reno is supposed to be done by July so maybe check back in a month or two.
