Took my 2016 Ford Explorer in for a recall on the rear toe link out of alignment. (My car drives straight down the road steering wheel in perfect alignment before my service date at Bob Boyd)(A little background on myself, I'm the service manager at Lancaster Sport Cycles. Have worked at previous Honda and ford dealerships as a service advisor as well as Les Schwab Tire Center been around cars, motorcycles, Atvs, and machinery my entire life)I drop off my vehicle the service advisor recommended that I do the front end alignment as well since they are performing alignment on the rear end. That I had to pay for the front end alignment because ford only will cover the recall. I told the service advisor that don't align the front it's fine just do the recall. I come to pick up my vehicle after recall has been completed and on my drive back to work I noticed my car was driving straight down the road but the center of my steering wheel was 45 degrees to the left. I turned around and headed back to the dealership when I got back I told the service advisor that they messed up my front end alignment you were only supposed to perform the rear end alignment. He then told me well it's possible that by doing the rear it would mess with the front end alignment. I then asked for the service manager said I'm not paying for a front end alignment I brought it to you my steering wheel was straight and when my vehicle was returned to me it was not aligned correctly. Mike the service manager told me that they recommend doing the front end alignment while performing rear end. I told him my car was fine when I brought it here fix my alignment. I told Mike I'm in the service department I understand things happens but make it right and fix it I would never give my customer back their vehicle in a worse condition then they gave it to me. They needed to make it right and I'll wait. They tried to up sell me a front end alignment because I turned down the service they adjusted my tie rods on the front end of my car to try and force me to pay for a front end of alignment I then called my friend who is a service advisor at ford in Texas and he looked in depth at the recall said that the recall does not effect the front end and when performing the recall if front is out of alignment upon arrival is to adjust as necessary. After a conversation with the service manager they did fix the issue within 10 min and corrected my alignment in the front end. Absolutely crooked service department I could not believe that they tried to sell me a service and when I didn't they jacked me around this how our local ford dealer treats their customers.I would not recommend service at this location.

Several red flags here. This review pertains to the service department. Scheduled a visit for my truck to have some technology troubleshooting work done. Dropped it off the night before. Had to call late afternoon the next day to see if my service was complete. Went in to pick the truck, they said one issue was resolved, and the other my truck was not equipped with, which I know it was. The service advisor was very rude to me and no one there wanted to help. Very poor customer service, poor communication, lack of attention to their customers. If you are looking to get honest work and feel like a valued customer, I would suggest going elsewhere. I will gladly spend my money at a different dealership.

I've been going to the Quick Lane at Bob Boyd Ford for six years, and I've had no problems. The staff is friendly with a nice waiting area. The mechanics are quick. And most of all, I feel they are trustworthy. Not only will they get your oil changed, or put new tires on your vehicle, but they also provide you with an extensive diagnostic for the overall health of your vehicle. And for me, that's great. It allows me to know how long I'll have before I need to make a repair, or get my brakes changed. Just an example. That's if the diagnostic shows anything that would. Overall, it's a friendly atmosphere with quick mechanics. And thats my opinion based from my experience of taking my truck in for six years.

Beware of buying from this dealership. Me and my fiancé bought a vehicle a day before she went into labor with twins. Didn't even have the vehicle 2 weeks before the drive shafts went out. Got them fixed for 2 weeks later for the engine to blows up. We didn't even get a chance to put 1000 miles on the new vehicle. They have had it in the shop for 3 months saying they are waiting on parts. But keeps pushing the time further and further out. Mind you I bought the car 4 months ago. And they have had it in the shop for a total of 3.5 months. I was left on the side of the highway with newborn twins in the beginning of summer. I had to argue with them about warranty covering the cost of the fixes because they tried to say it was a preexisting issue that the dealer knew about it. I'll save everybody time by leaving an honest review of this dealership. They took my money and put me in a vehicle that could of killed my whole family.

I like this team. Although very busy, I feel like I'm getting cared for well. They take the time to spell out the issues and give no pressure when making suggestions for non urgent maintenance. I find the pricing to be comparable to other area mechanics. It there is little price difference between the OEM mechanic and another, and I cant do the work myself, it makes sense to bring my biz to Bob Boyd.

Everyone we have come into contact with has been very kind. Tony Melucci was our salesman and he provided answers and excellent customer service to every question or concern that we had including after hours. We look forward to being taken care of throughout our vehicle ownership.

Brought in my Ford Escape for an oil change and tire rotation. I was told in advance that there was only 1 tech working that day and it would be longer than usual. I had the day off from work, so I didn't mind. I think I was there around 1.5 hours. They were not able to rotate the tires due to swelled wheel nuts. I declined paying $126 to replace them with the same two-piece poorly-designed wheel nuts. I purchased some one-piece aftermarket wheel nuts for $40. I scheduled an appointment for tomorrow to have them installed and do the tire rotation. I know they don't control prices, but maybe if someone from Bob Boyd is reading this an can pass along to Ford, $60 for a cabin filter replacement is absurd. I purchased the part from O'Reilly for $15 and installed it in a few minutes.
