I stopped here to get gas today and decided to go inside to ask a question regarding my tail light (I had just recently installed one, wrongly I might add, and the lights continued to stay on after the car was shut off and continually stayed on as I was driving.) One of the mechanics on duty, Nate, decided to quickly check on what I was talking about before having the car left overnight and serviced. He fixed the issue in two minutes and made my day! What impressed me, however, was that Nate refused payment for what he did. I get it that was only a couple of minutes of work, but he still did a job. He won my respect and my decision to have any future car work there. Thank you, Nate!

Since moving back to Lakewood, this shop is home to my car, and me!Especially, an Octogenarian, and dependent on my source of transportation, - it helps to surround yourself with good people!!'Maggie,' (my car)trusts them, too!!

Don’t do it.I don’t recommend it if you don’t know your car's problem. Although this is a lovely shop, but most of the times they can’t find what’s wrong with your vehicle. They are really good at fixing the problem but not finding it.

They have worked on my families cars for years. Scott the owner is very knowledgeable. He will let you know when something is and not worth fixing. Fair prices, Scott has never nickeled or dimed my family with random fees on the bill. Hourly rates and shop costs on quotes are always better then neighboring mechanics. Cars can be fixed very quickly, especially if you don’t need to order many parts + call ahead.Thank you for everything!

I have been taking our cars to Scott (owner) at the Gas Station for close to 20 years. He's as honest as the day is long and always looks out for the customer. On one of my first visits, they weren't quite done with my car and I noticed Scott and one of his tech's checking all of my lights, including break, license, back-up, turn signals and brights. When he was done, I asked why they did that and he said' "just want to make sure the car leaves here working properly and don't want it to attract any attention from law enforcement. Highly recommend to anyone, especially those on a budget!

The owner of "the Gas Station" are good listeners, competent mechanics, and good citizens of the community. when I presented them with a serious concern sbout how many weeks I had left in.my car's life, they undertook to find out what the terrble intermittent grindong sound was caused by. In the end they saved me from a catastrophic brake failure, and saved me from buying a new car . I think they treat everyone like family. Reminded me of the NPR Program that aired on Saturday mornings called "Car Talk"

I had a Mercedes sprinter they were supposed to replace the glow plugs and find where I had a boost leak. A smoke test showed a bad EGR valve, I had already ordered a metal replacement incase so it were ready and available. Upon waiting to pickup my van, they never called me. So after a few days seeing my car parked on the side street I called to inquire. They informed me they snapped a glow plug off in the head. When I asked what was going to be done, they insisted my 2004 sprinter with 36k miles would be rusted out by the time it needed replaced again and not to worry. Frustrated, I left to think about how to deal with this. 6 miles down the road my EGR valve blew the bottom clamp off, which required me to fix it myself. Later a glow plug shot out of my motor leaving me broken down on the side of the highway. Their incompetence to torque anything down to spec has left me stranded, and looked for a competent mechanic worthy of replacing the head after they damaged it. They want to part in helping to rectify the damage they caused. But don't worry, one of the guys there will tell you he's qualified because he's been building race bikes for 30 years, it would be great if that knowledge translated to Cars but apparently that's not the case at The Gas Station. The owner, Scott Morrow, was very helpful and honest about what needed to be done, what repairs could wait to be done and in explaining the necessary repairs. His staff was polite and professional. I highly recommend using this repair shop.
