A terrible experience, choose any other Auction House. I had family heirloom items which we had researched. We no longer had space for them. I contacted Bertha's by phone, the owner suggested I e-mail her the descriptions, pictures and information. She agreed to take our items for auction. I dropped off the items and discussed setting a reserve. I followed up by e-mail a few days later. The owner claimed she never got my e-mails prior to the auction, even though my e-mail was sent 40 days before the scheduled auction. She sold one item for $35 and it was worth 10x that. She claimed she hadn't researched the item and just put a sticker on it based on other items she had sold like that in the past. After many calls and e-mails by myself (she would not contact me for several weeks) I was able to recover the last item before she sold it too, under value. The whole experience still makes me sick.
