I've never had any problems going here before until recently, Dr. Jones saved my cat's life when he had a urinary blockage and I had the highest opinion of her and this office. About a year ago my boyfriend took our 2 cats in for check ups (including the one who previously had the blockage) and the way our cats were handled made him uncomfortable.
Our one cat has anxiety with being handled, which we've expressed every visit, and the vet tech present was rough with not only him but my boyfriend's cat as well, to the point where both cats were in severe distress. His review is on here as well if you want to read that for context. When I got home that evening both of our cats were still shaking, scared, and wouldn't even eat. I called the office three separate times afterwards and left messages for the vet who was there that day to talk to them and try to figure out what happened and hear their side of the story so we could figure out how to solve this.
My boyfriend said he wouldn't take our cats back because we were devastated with how they reacted, but I trusted Dr. Jones and called this morning to try and get my cat in because he was having urinary issues again. I planned to talk to her after the appointment about the prior situation as well because I never received a response to my messages. I showed up this morning at 11, was taken back into an exam room by Dr. Jones, and was told because of the review my boyfriend left that she wouldn't help my cat. She said my boyfriend was nasty to them, that they couldn't have people talking bad about them, and she didn't want to deal with anything he had a hand in. To say I'm heartbroken is an understatement. I tried so hard to reach out prior to solve this issue, was ignored, and drove 25 minutes just to be told my cat wasn't going to get help. I was never rude or nasty, I've always deeply appreciated the work this clinic does, but I'm unsure how to move on from this and feel uneasy.

Update: imagine that, she responded. I won’t take the time to read. She is manipulative and a blatant liar.
So if you read the previous review, first I want to say I am the mom who Dr. Jones messaged privately on Facebook being nasty. Second, her response to my daughter wasn’t quite honest and reeked of gaslighting. You see, Dr. Jones wasn’t just innocently asking people if they wanted to adopt a kitten. She left out a lot of context which you wouldn’t be privy to because after she received some backlash, from multiple people who also found her behavior rude, offensive, and unprofessional (not just me) she chose to delete her post. Her facebook post showed a picture she had taken of her security footage where a woman dumped a kitten at her clinic. I think we can all agree that is wrong. The kitten had an injury which Dr. Jones took the kitten in and is treating it for. Which would suggest the kitten is a stray the woman found. I have personally been in a position where I have found a kitten that I couldn’t really take in and there are very few resources to find help for these little creatures. So most of us assumed the lady thought she was doing the right thing and was just trying to help the kitten. Well here is where Dr. Jones comments came in. Anyone who voiced that opinion on her post was meet with the response of “do you want to claim it” or “are you going to adopt the kitten”. She went on to say that it wasn’t ok to dump a kitten at her clinic and that she couldn’t stay in business that way. She was upset that people didn’t agree that this woman was the villain she thought she was. She was also on there arguing with other people who pointed pout that she wasn’t behaving very professionally. Now I had a couple of people like my comment and when I clicked on the notification, I noticed that a lot of Dr. Jones’s rude responses had been deleted. I had commented that she wasn’t legitimately asking if someone wanted to adopt the kitten but was being a smart a$$ because people didn’t think the woman who dumped it did so maliciously. I commented that because another person had already told her that her responses were disheartening and unprofessional and she came back with another smart a$$ reply saying “so now it’s unprofessional to ask someone if they want to adopt a kitten? It needs a loving home”. She chose to back track on her stance when she realized people weren’t agreeing with her. She responds to every single negative review on here basically attacking the individual posting the review all while claiming they attacked her. She then throws out how vets commit suicide to appeal to your emotional side. Yes it happens as it does in many high stress professions, that doesn’t give her the right to talk to people anyway she pleases. It does not justify her behavior. I don’t believe half of these response to her reviews because I know for a fact that she conveniently leaves out the part of a story that might make her look bad. I didn’t call her names or attack her and my comment was pretty mild. But she sure did message me calling me names and attacking me for not agreeing with her. And she didn’t even realize that my cats and my daughter’s cats were her patients and judging from her responses to these reviews I don’t think she would have cared. So if you are good with being spoken to any way she feels like should you not agree with her then by all means go to this vet. Oh and could anyone tell me how a review is unfair when people are just providing the facts of what happened?

I won't take my new but older cat anywhere else. I wish they also took reptiles as patients because my kid has a bearded dragon. But I will take what I can get.

I have been bringing my cats here for quite some time, I’ve never been displeased with service. However judging by whoever replies to the negative reviews or comments I will NOT be returning due to the level of unprofessionalism in this office. I understand standing up for yourself, and I do believe there is a professional way of handling it but some of these responses are uncalled for. Also, there was a facebook post shared about a kitten being dropped off and people were commenting trying to offer advice and they weren’t being nice on the post either saying things like “do you wish to adopt this kitten” my mom had replied to a comment on the post about the level of unprofessionalism to which she was privately sent a NASTY message (picture below). I have never in my life seen this kind of behavior from a business owner and for that they have officially lost my business. To each their own but personally not for me.
Edit: the response from the company speaks for itself ?

Rescued a dog from this clinic. I've asked multiple questions at all hours of the day and even into to the evening. Most humane vet I've ever consulted with. Truly caring, compassionate, and committed to those she cares for, patients that can vocalize nothing. I trust and would recommend this clinic to any pet parent. I have found Dr. Jones to have only a loving hand with her patients and honest with the parents.

Took 3 people to get blood then keep our dog overnight to have an iv called next day couldn’t get an iv to stay and couldn’t do a main line iv. If your a vet you should be able to perform these or let us know before you charge me 800 then just refer you. Save your many and go to a real vet office.

I've known Dr. Jones a long time. I take my dog there and one we lost Christmas day 2023. Dr. Jones went out of her way to help us keep him living quality life. Her staff has always been friendly. They have helped me many times as I'm disabled. I have no complaints. From one old horse woman to another...thank you Doc Pam and staff for everything!!!
