Holly Park Apartments offers affordable rental units, particularly for students, with rent that is often considered cheap for the space provided, including three-bedroom layouts. The apartments include central air conditioning and have utilities included, except for electricity. The location is within walking distance of Kent State University and several convenient stores. Experiences with maintenance are mixed. Some residents report very positive interactions, describing the maintenance as great and cooperative, especially when the team is fully staffed. However, other reviews detail significant frustrations, citing slow response times, incomplete or messy repairs, and periods where essential amenities like showers were unusable for extended times. The office staff and management are frequently described as very nice, helpful, and willing to offer compensation for major inconveniences. The grounds may require some upkeep. Overall, residents describe it as a typical college apartment complex where you get what you pay for, offering good value for the money in Kent compared to more expensive alternatives. Many note feeling safe in the community and have had positive overall experiences, with some calling it one of the best places to stay in the area. The experience can depend heavily on having good roommates and considerate neighbors.
Likely has low rent owing to substantial immigrant student renters. I have not been in the units nor have I been a resident. The grounds could use some upkeep.

Some friends live here, heard negative things in regards to maintenance but, you get what you pay for. Not to say the apartments aren't overpriced, but that's to be expected in Kent.

Management is worthless. When everyou needed something fixed they actually gave us tools and said we could give it a try. The smell of pot is at a constant. The buildings have security doors that dont work, buzzers that dont work correctly. For what is being paid you are getting riped off.
