I was really looking forward to a nice stay at this “resort”. It’s not really a resort, but the rooms are nice and clean for the most part. Office is closed overnight, so if you get there late to check in, you’re screwed. They have young Asian women who barely speak English running the desk. Pool was also pretty dirty. But now my biggest complaint is SPIDERS! I had to have my husband kill EIGHT large spiders scattered across the ceilings of the suite. Plus the scattered teeny tiny spiders that aren’t really noticeable unless you’re looking. I have a fear of spiders and having not one, but EIGHT large ones, really was the final straw. If they’re charging resort prices then they can afford an exterminator or buy their own to spray each room between guests every so often to avoid this.

My wife and I were very disappointed on our recent vacation to Kelley's Island Venture "Resort". The location and potential are amazing and the front desk staff were nice and helpful, but many areas fell short based on what we were expecting from the website pictures, description, and resort level pricing. The pool was dirty and not vacuumed during our 3 day visit. Poolside furniture was old and worn and loungers were especially filthy. The grounds were not well maintained and flower beds were overgrown with weeds. None of the flower pots had flowers. Room and bathroom were clean but very worn and dated. The couple staying in the next room told us how surprised they were in the decline of quality since their last visit.

Great views of the lake, great location only a mile from town. The quarry is right up the road as well. We had a corner room, loved the view of the lake lots of windows and a separate living room was nice. Room was spacious. Enjoyed the hot tub. Staff was kind and accommodating. Would stay again.

The location is perfect. We arrived early to use the pool before the 4 pm check in, to find out we couldn’t use the pool until we checked in. Ridiculous! Ended up the pool and hot tub weren’t clean so we didn’t use them. The hot tub didn’t have jets. Who has a hot tub with no jets! The room was ok, we did kill a couple spiders. We expected better for the price we paid!Would not recommend or stay here again!!Noteworthy details: None!

We love vacationing here this was are very first place we started having vacations . Mrs. Suzie did wonderful job with customer service she answer all of our questions and help us make the best choice possible she was very polite and respectful thank u so very much mrs. Friends stayed here last night during a big rainstorm. Their ground floor room flooded an inch deep, the water flowing as far as halfway into the third room of the shotgun-style layout. Not only did management text them at 2 am to say 'we are aware of the problem, don't call us' they were not moved to a dry room nor offered any compensation. Manager claims this has never happened before, despite the prominent rock-lined drainage ditch installed along the flooding side of the hotel, which was completely full this morning. A nice clean attractive hotel, but get a 2nd floor room and be warned that management is hands-off in a crisis.

First time renting. New owners. A little clunky to book but they will work it out. On site staff great. Loved the location and pool. Quite hours at 10 PMNearby activities: This on kelleys Island a little more quite than south bass. Glacier groves are a must see. Good restaurant and a couple of wineries. Not much else

Place was decent and the location was ideal since it was close to the town but the management was horrible. So rude and mean to everyone. Will not be coming back.

Beautiful place. I give it 2 star though because they did not have the hot tub open said it wouldn’t be open till the following week when they could have a guy out another family pressured and bugged the owner till he opened. And as soon as i went to go get in I slipped and fell very hard on my hip and i have a bad back but luckily just got bruised and sore i am 29 the rails are super shaky too for both hot tub and pool luckily it was me that slipped and fell and not an older person who could easily break a hip my husband told the front and owner and they didnt seem to care! Be careful!!! It was like getting in a slimy wet bath tub. Hopefully they fix it before someone gets really hurt! Otherwise this is a beautiful place and we would stay here again for sure

Trying to book a midweek 1 night stay and they're forcing a 2 night minimum. Half the place is empty and available to book the day before our arrival still and the response was "go somewhere else if you don't like it". Wild to think a hotel would prefer vacant rooms over occupied rooms ?
