Are Rv broke down a couple miles away from Mayer on interstate 71. We stopped by their store and they made us a new hydraulic line in the matter of minutes. Great crew to deal with. From the parts guy to the mechanic. Hope to deal with them with are next tractor purchase.

They have a huge variety of new and used equipment at competitive prices, everything is priced to sell and they'll give you trade in on your old equipment if that's what you want. They wheel and deal and everyone I know is always satisfied when the deal is done, I wish car dealerships were more like this. They aren't looking to get rich of you and what's probably a misfortune of your old equipment breaking down or being destroyed by some act of nature. They want you to come back next time.

Pay close attention to all the reviews. They are very slow to service warrantied equipment purchased brand new from them. They take care of their “big” customers and take care of them very well and quick to put the little guy on the back burner for months and you have to call them numerous times to get anything accomplished!!!

For weeks I had looked for a clean, low hour 2014 Kubota L4600HST when I saw a possibility on the Mayer website. I telephoned Scott Evans, discussed the tractor, and asked him to get a shipping quote from Ohio to zip code 78624. His response to this was $3000. That should have been a red flag for me. I picked up the phone and got a $1700 quote from a reputable company that I've done business with previously. I decided to take a gamble and pay the top asking price of $28,000 for the 2014 Kubota L4600HST. I requested that Scott send me an Operator's Manual and filters kit. He did not: another red flag. After unloading the ???2014???? tractor, it would die when the operator's foot was taken off of the accelerator. It started right back up each time. I drove it the approximate ½ mile to my shop and began troubleshooting. I replaced the diesel fuel pump cut-off selenoid and fuel filter. The problem continued. I then called Messick's and talked to their tech support. They suggested it might be the OPC controller. I built a steering wheel puller so I could replace the OPC controller. So far this has eliminated the dead engine problem. The evaluation of the tractor will continue. When I first raised the engine hood the bottom of the radiator was filled with debris, indicating it had not been serviced prior to Mayer selling it to me.I telephoned Kubota Corp. and gave them the serial number 50966. They said the Kubota was sold in Louisiana in 2012. Therefore it is NOT a 2014 model. I asked Scott Evans in a phone conversation why he sold it as a 2014. Scott said that's what the previous owner said it was when he bought it. That was BS. Mayer Equipment is responsible for verifying the build date on used equipment they sell.I will reduce the price and sell it at a loss as a 2012 model.Attached are photos of the parts I personally replaced so far, and a pic of the dirty radiator before I cleaned it.GFC

I understand its late spring early summer and I farming is very busy but, the service and parts department is unfriendly and uncooperative. Being with a large out of town contracting business who has money to spend you would think that they would be a bit more accommodating.

We had a great experience with our salesman Scott. Bought it sight unseen off the internet. Delivered to us in Texas with no problem. Tractor was as advertised. Needed owners manual. Internet had them for $150.00, and Scott sent us one at no charge. Only issue: is that there are too many miles between us. Great to do business with!
