969 Main Street, JacksonA few years back my dog became very ill, Dr Parker told me to bring him in immediately, turns out my pup had a severe case of hook worms and needed to be hospitalized, I told Dr.Parker I didn't have the money for his treatment. He was very kind and went on with his treatment. My dog had to be hospitalized for almost a week because he was put on a very strong antibiotic thru an IV. He saved my dog and allowed me to make payments on the 1100 dollar treatment bill. He truly cares for animals and doesn't try to push unnecessary meds on your pet. I highly recommend this Vet and his clinic.

The Spot on Main
298 Main St, JacksonEvery town needs A Spot on Main! The shop is upscale, trendy in a renovated historic building. They serve locally roasted coffee, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and soups. We stopped in for an early lunch, which they serve all day. Everything on the menu looked delicious and prices are reasonable. I had a bowl of the chicken and rice soup. The soup was thick and creamy with lots of vegetables and delicious. My husband loved the Club Sandwich which was packed with ham, bacon, avocado, lettuce and tomato. Service was a bit confusing as one of the clerks told me to sit down and brought a menu. But she never came back to take our order and we figured out we had to go up to the counter to order. I guess the regulars know this. The place is popular, there's a line to order and most tables full. They have a nice patio out back with tables. Inside, there are about 15 tables. It gets loud inside when they are full. They sell their locally roasted coffee in the shop along with other coffee related gifts. There is street parking out front and a handicapped access at the rear entrance.

Four Mile Bakery & General Store
6005 4 Mile Rd, JacksonJust recently found out about this place, I'd go out of my way if I'm within an hour detour to get here. Amazing doughnuts, absolutely great folks working there! I've bought some of the pancake mixes, highly recommend as well as Bob's cousin Steve Evens sausage, delicious! Can't speak highly enough about the place! Thanks to everyone working there!

275 Portsmouth St, JacksonStopped in for a late lunch with our two pups to break up a long travel day. Everything was amazing! Our lunch was delicious. We started with the brussel sprouts recommended by our waitress. Best we’ve had in a while! Sandwich and the peach harvest salad with falafel hit the spot. Great local spot and perfect for travelers passing through. Pups loved the big patio with large umbrellas for shade.
