Dr. Kidd is a joke for a vet whom only wants to upcharge for everything she can. The staff is pretty nice and all but the vet will leave a sour taste in your mouth after you realize there wanting to run a bunch of test ect for no reason. Ironically after reading other reviews and seeing the vet is trying to discredit them in the replies should show just how horrible of a place this is.

Woke up to my 15 year old cat basically showing me she had a UTI, small amount of blood in urine, I called Mount ZionOh, At first she said she was booked, but then said that she could get me in about an hour, was very kind and gentle with my cat, I mentioned that I was on a very tight budget, She definitely worked with me on the budget, Sent us home with some medication and we're on the road to recovery! Highly recommended!!

Dr Kidd and her staff took wonderful care of our Hannah for the 10 years we had her. She and her staff sat on the floor with my husband and Hannah as we had to say goodbye to her. There was ABSOLUTELY no question who our vet would be when we welcomed our new puppy Isabelle to our family.

I called to schedule a time to get my extremely ill pup in. I called early in the am and left a message. Expecting a call when they opened at 8a or any point that day. My pup wound up dying. Which isn't their fault and that isn't why they got one star but these "caring" people called not when they opened but the NEXT DAY. How kind of you. I'm sure you could hear the fear in my voice when I left the message. I applaud you for taking your sweet time to answer my message. Even if you couldn't have gotten him for an appointment, a wellness call where I could have possibly gotten answers would have been the least you could do as a vets office. "Please call us if you ever need anything again." Is what the receptionist said before she abruptly ended the call. No thanks I'll pass

Nothing but a greedy Vet who wants to upcharge and do tests constantly. Don't go here, they will break your bank. Also notice how the owner tries to discredit every bad review when we all say the same things about them. She even posted her own review of her company under C Kidd which is a violation of Goggle TOS conflict of interest section. If you need to give yourself 5 stars you know your company has issues.

I had a 10:20 am appt today for a follow up of my Inga. The person answering the phone did not relay to the Dr that Inga was getting her urine checked today because she was peeing blood two weeks ago. At least thats what the Dr claimed. They took urine and said it would be 15 min or so. I sat there until they took everybody elses dogs back and just forgot about me. Everytime I asked what was the hold up the said you're next.....wrong!! I did not get to leave until 12:30 pm after everyone else cleared out. They were inconsiderate to me. Lousy way to run a practice?

Dr. Kids love a a wonderful and compassionate doctor. She is easy to talk to and she doesn't speak down to you. She has treated our family's pets for many years. Yes , she may be a bit more expensive however in most things you get what you pay for. If you are looking for top quality care from a skilled professional then this is the vet for you.

I am new to Jackson but when my dog would not get out of bed and was panting heavily I called friends for recommendations on where to take her. Unfortunately the two other options were closed or too far away and so I decided to drive to Mt. Zion, which is not far from my home. Upon arriving I saw a sign to call, even though there were people in the lobby I did and told I might have to wait. Not a problem. However this is where the confusion began. After being seen by a tech, who immediately started telling me that this was probably heartworms a very expensive procedure ( What? Did she diagnose my dog telepathically?) I left my dog and waited in the lobby until called. That was when Dr. Kidd entered the room. I told her that my pets came from Brasil and that my regular doctor was against spaying. Same was true of our doctor in Mexico. She started telling me that my dog would need a series of tests and x-rays and suggested that I take her immediately to Columbus, Ohio about a 90 minute to two hour drive. I had left workers in my home and told her that it was not possible at the moment. She then told me she could do blood work, x rays and start her on a heart worm treatment. All in all nearly $900. I kept saying that I wanted to know what was wrong NOW, not in the future, but she said that it could not be done without all of these tests. Frustrated I told her to go ahead with the blood work and to call me at home with the results. When I went to pay the bill the tech started negotiating the x-rays to get the price down. I still paid over $300 dollars for the visit. Maybe she was on a quota, but I did not feel comfortable and had even texted my cousin that this seemed more like a scam than an actual care center. Everyone talked about money, and no one talked about my urgent situation ( I had explained that she had been at a park the day before and I feared poisoning from something she ate or was bitten/stung by.) When I got home and put my girl to bed I noticed her licking her belly and decided to take a look. Sure enough one of her teats was extremely swollen and when I touched it, puss squirted out. The doctor nor the tech had even mentioned this to me and so I started Googling for a solution. I started massaging the swollen area and a huge amount of serum came out. When Dr, Kidd called me she started again talking about x-rays and her procedure to spay my pup and take out some masses that were growing around her teat area. Not ONCE did she mention the swollen area and puss. I finally stopped her and asked if she had actually EXAMINED my dog. She paused and asked me why. When I told her about the teat and excretion she seemed startled and then mumbled something about "well that is why we need the x-rays." I finally told her that I would take my dog elsewhere. The only good thing from the blood work was that it appeared my senior dog was also diabetic. I was so angry I dashed off a letter to Mt. Zion complaining about Dr. Kidd. I did not know at the time that she was the owner of the clinic. In my note I told the clinic how disappointed I was that no one even showed me the swelling, instead concentrating on x rays and other expensive options that needed to be done . I also mentioned the word "malpractice" because she should have at least started my dog on antibiotics, regardless of the x-ray results she kept harping on. Several days later Dr, Kidd replied basically to cover her -ss. In her letter she said she HAD informed me of the mastitis even though I only heard the term for the first time in my Google search. I have since heard from many others that Dr. Kidd has a habit of prescribing expensive procedures and neglecting the obvious. Mt. Zion has a bad reputation for such things. All I know is that my dog has since received excellent care from another doctor who has yet to take an x-ray and certainly not forced me to buy a $20 heart worm tablet for a gaping sore secreting serum. I know that Dr, Kidd will refute my claims as she did in her letter. But I stand by my experience. I would not take my pet t

I just want to say a few things. My first time here was good. Since going multiple times I’ve seen nothing but a money machine. They always wanna push tests. How many tests does a dog need. It’s all about money here. Why do my two dogs and cat have to be sedated? Cause you want more money? My last vet never sedated unless surgery. I don’t recommend this place. Save money and go elsewhere.

My experience happened over a year ago and I'm still upset about it. Dr. Kidd was rude and condescending when we brought our sick cat in. She guilted us into paying for tons of tests that (after seeking a second opinion) my cat didn't need. She's extremely expensive. Her staff was very kind and I appreciated their help, but she deserves her reputation for being uncaring. She barely looked at our cat and had zero interest in educating us about what was wrong with him. I never write bad reviews, but after just having a really good experience at another vet's office and seeing the difference compassion can make, and recently hearing from a friend who also had a poor interaction with Kidd, I wanted to put my two cents out there.
