“An absolute gem and pinnacle of what customer service should be. My dad was a long time customer of Unger’s and spoke fondly of Joe and his business. My dad past away suddenly 4 days ago and I was in town with no appropriate clothing for his services and funeral. I had never been to Unger’s, but I knew that dad had been taken care of there for years. I went over and met with Joe and he and I had a long conversation about my dad and how they enjoyed each other. I own a clothing store in New England and my dad wouldn’t even buy shoes from me because he “had a guy”. Joe was his guy. Joe is a sweet man with a caring and compassionate character who took time from his day to relish in some memories. He then fit me perfectly for shoes for the funeral services. The store itself is beautiful and a throwback in the best possible way. While waiting, I listen to Joe and his staff treat every customer with the exact same care and respect. They ensured that waiting customers were comfortable, while simultaneously being able to flawlessly finish up with the current shoe they worked on. I got my Justin's for $110. That's a good boot & fair price. I saw a lot of nice more exotic boots & a nice selection of work boots.”
