They wasted $250 of my money on tows. They called and told me their computer reader thing won’t hook up to my car. Which is funny since they’ve fixed my car before and used the reader on it. Had to pay for my car to be towed again, my uncle brought a reader over and wow can you believe it worked just fine! Pretty sure they just didn’t want to deal with my car because it’s missing a bumper and not a brand new car. I would never bring your car there. Ridiculous

Took vehicle in for dead battery that wouldn't charge Replaced battery. Problem continued and they replaced a second battery. Problem continued and they decided it was the alternator. Replaced alternator and problem continued after over $500 bill. Gave up and took to dealership Dealership diagnosed as after marker radio was bleeding the battery - bought used with the radio in it. Battery was good. Replaced radio with factory model and issue disappeared. Appears alternator was completely not needed. Not recommended.

Took son's truck in for brake issue, they reset the light and 10 minutes after leaving dash light back on and brakes make much more noise than when we brought it in. Would not recommend.

Broke down in the nearby national forest at the midpoint of a ~4000 mile road trip from Miami to Los Angeles. Alone, female, clearly stranded, and with no option but to have my car towed into the nearby towns, I chose to have it towed to Dickess (the closest shop). I fully acknowledged that I was going to be at the mercy of this shop given that the car couldn’t even drive an inch, and was terrified at the cost and timing.I rented a car, camped in the forest, and wandered Ashland and Ironton for the next few days, desperately trying to think of solutions to get myself home in an affordable way if my car couldn’t be fixed. But everywhere I went, I kept hearing the same thing—that Dickess was run by a wonderful man, he won’t take advantage of you, you can trust him to do good work at quickly.And you know what? They were all absolutely correct. I had to wait a bit for the part to arrive (fuel pump), but wow. Dickess was so up front with the costs, so incredibly kind, and worked SO quickly once the part came in. And the labor costs were unbelievably fair! If there was a place to break down anywhere I’ve been in 8000 miles since I left LA in January, it was here. If it wasn’t 2000 miles from home I would pay them to do all my car work for the rest of my life. Just truly wonderful people.(And also thanks to everyone else in town—I really grew to like the Ashland/Ironton area! As a single female I get weird about calling to get my car worked on, but already knew the issue. The receptionist I talked to was very friendly and since it wasn’t pressing she set up a time for me to drop it off and be looked at. They had told me the issue and has it fixed and ready to go in 24hrs. Speedy, friendly, and fair priced. Would highly recommend.
