Convention to interstate, but showing some wear. Was clean enough but room could have used a little more elbow grease. Staff was efficient, but not as friendly as I'm used to either. Maybe it was just an off day.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn in Dayton, Ohio, and I must say, it was an exceptionally delightful experience from start to finish. Tammy at the front desk was very kind and helpful. However their housekeeping service did not clean any of the 3rd floor rooms. Tammy helped us contact Priceline for a refund and we moved on. While it is near the interstate, we found plenty other options just as convenient.

SO! I am not much on writing a review, however since customer service is a thing of the past, I felt compelled to share our experience for future travelers. I understand that breakfast end at 9:30am however we went down at 9:10am, there was no eggs, so my husband asked if some can be made and the woman said, "No, we stop serving at 9:30am!" husband said it not 9:30am. and she said and I quote, "Next time come down earlier!" and not in a nice tone, Husband did not take to well to that. So much for choosing Holiday Inn Express. and because it was the 4th of July holiday we paid $157.... and didn't get good CS! Beware!

This is the 2nd time we've stayed here, and this was the nicest stay we've had. We initially had an issue with the first room due to a broken couch bed, but the front desk attendant took care of us and got us into another room and noted the account so that I could get my hotel points back.Rooms: Rooms were clean and spacious.Nearby activities: Several malls were nearby, and Texas Roadhouse was right across the street.

The tub was a little grimy and the rooms were worn. We also had a sports team of young kids in the rooms near us that apparently came without adults, since they were running through the halls and knocking on doors at 2a and made a mess at breakfast that was left for other guests to clean) It took all my strength not to knock on their doors(they were marked with some Pinterest mom craft so easy to spot) and raise some hell.Rooms: Dingy, but fairly clean.

BED BUGS!!! DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!My husband stayed here on a trip (only hotel he stayed in) and brought bed bugs home. I immediately checked online and sure enough I found a review from around the same time that someone else found bed bugs in the room when they checked in. Of course this hotel denies this and here we are left with a $3300 bill to have our entire house treated, not to mention I threw away all my bedroom furniture and replaced the carpet, drapes, bedding, everything!!

The woman at the front desk was friendly enough and she got me and my dog checked in quickly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had shiny, new chrome fixtures. Unfortunately, there were rowdy guests that arrived very early in the morning and then another morning drama between guests that were locked out of a room. Not exactly the hotel's fault, though a more authoritative front desk could have curbed both the late night yelling and the early morning pleading, and a tighter seal on my door would have muffled the noise better. (I could easily see the hall lights coming between the door and the jamb.) Breakfast was tasty with a decent selection and the price was right!

Poor check in experience. Took a long time for a simple check-in. Counter was dirty with used water bottle. Rude attendant. Not happy with this experience.

The hotel staff neither enforce nor wear masks despite signs saying masks are required:"Face coverings are required except while eating or drinking.""In accordance with local regulations, a face covering over your nose and mouth is required by law in the hotel's public spaces."Most guests crowded the hallways and did not wear masks. We booked this hotel trusting that these measures would be met and enforced. Had we known this hotel would be lax in COVID protocols, we would have booked a different hotel. If the hotel was not going to stick with this, we would have understood so we would know to book somewhere else. This stay took a lot of careful planning and our options were limited. This makes it difficult to ever trust Holiday Inns after this - especially when the hotel staff and management feel ok with disregarding "local regulations" and "law." We don't feel safe and we don't feel comfortable and yet we were blindsided by being surrounded by everyone including management and staff disregarding these regulations. We also feel powerless in complaining to management when we are clearly surrounded by people who feel alright disobeying the rules. Holiday Inns are a nationally recognized business. It doesn't matter that this is in Ohio - this is unsafe and it was clearly against the law. The signs were useless if no one is going to enforce it. You are putting people at risk - including the law abiding ones.

Great stayTypical holiday inn express layout and amenities. Rooms were clean, comfortable beds, and a hot shower. Hot breakfast on the weekends with a good variety of options. Pool and fitness center were nice and maintained as well. My only complaint is that we could hear guests coming and going all hours of the night. Talking and slamming doors.

I drive a day cab semi, so when I have to do a mandatory 10 hour break I find the most comfortable place to stay, normally a Holiday Inn Express, it was a mistake from the check in. First there wasn't a desk clerk, the manager was filling that spot, but he left going on an errand and left the housekeeping supervisor in charge. She was absolutely lost , the manager was on a video call trying to walk her through the check in process. I was Quoted $124 per night but my card was charged $169!! The room was dirty, mirrors, carpet, bathroom, spit stains on the bathroom mirror. So I'm guessing they just run through the rooms, half way through my 10 hour break, I'm itching from flea bites! No rest! And I have 400 miles to drive tonight. I will voice my issues to the corporate office and the front desk when I leave. My advice.... Keep driving there's better Holiday Inn Express out there! Absolutely Horrible Place!
